La Canoa

This is based on their current pick up only situation. I placed an order at 230 and its 445. It's still not ready. 😐 I think if they are at full capacity they should stop taking orders.

The food and drinks they serve here are amazing!! One of the best Mexican restaurants in waukegan!!! Food & drinks are worth the price!!

Very nice colorful and lively place. The majority of our dishes were served to perfection except for one which was undercooked. Food tastes great and prices are average. Service was great as well.

Definitely recommend checking this place out! Delicious food with friendly service👍🏽Really enjoy the drink variety and seafood choices. 7 mares soup is the best I've had in lake county. Blue Dragon drink is a bit pricey but worth it (pic below) The place is colorful with TVs mounted throughout with sports and movies so no need to be on your cellphone 😁 Usually packed at the bar with good music playing during the weekend. Do feel comfortable that they have security in case things get a bit out of order. Ps.The bathroom is well taken care of too. Many places neglect maintenance.

Great variety of food - seafood and your typical mexican staples. Drinks are reasonably priced. Didn't have to wait long for our party of 12 to be seated but the wait for food to come out was a little longer than expected. Food was still worth the wait and service was great too.

Great food with a fun environment! This place has some of the best authentic Mexican food we’ve ever had. Drink menu is also great which makes dinner a blast. La Canoa is very popular and gets very busy on weekends and holidays so it might not be the best option for those days. Their staff is always on top of it and extremely kind! Definitely a place for dinner!

The Ambiance and some of the flare of the dishes make this place special. I would not recommend the tamale unless you like mole a sauce. But all the different tacos we tried were delicious. They have lots of seafood and a special twist and how they serve it. The whole place is decorated and it looks amazing. I would recommend trying it.

From the moment you enter that restaurant they give you a pleasant feeling. Very friendly stuff, it is a good place to enjoy with buddies or with your date. heavenly food, qualified chef, modest cost and attentive service. Warmly recommended.
