La Befana Pizzeria

La Befana has good food but they don't pay much attention to your order and have very limited options. For example, I ordered a small cheese pizza, and they gave me a large. It's possible they don't have a small size, but then why wouldn't they tell me that? I wouldn't have ordered this much pizza for myself.

The only real negative is on the service side.I ordered online and was given a time 40 minutes later to pick up. Seems like a long wait, but not a problem since they're so close. I arrive on time and inform the person behind the counter about my order. I find out that the pizza is just now being made and hasn't even gone into the oven. I wait another 25 minutes before the pizza is ready.For such a delay, it would be courteous to let the customer know ahead of time.

I can't speak higher of this place! Come here couple times a month and they have the best crust in town. Slices are gigantic and loaded, really great value. Buffalo chicken slice is best I've ever had. In crust we trust and they got the stuff <3

Pizza was so good! Filled the box and was hot on delivery! Filled me up too

I was kind of disappointed. The dough is bland and crust is not fluffy. It’s far from a New York slice. Too little tomato sauce and is bland too. A little too much cheese. Proportion is off. Price is great though.

Bizarre experience. We were from out of town staying within delivery distance. The restaurant refused to deliver to us because we had a different area code as a callback number. If you aren't from the Boston area don't bother calling for delivery.

After living in the Allston/Brighton area for over 9 years, I can safely say that this is the best takeout pizza place around bar none. Slightly more expensive but well worth it for quality ingredients and perfect preparation. Highly recommend the Palermo, Buffalo Chicken, and de la Casa pizzas, as well as any of their hot and cold subs. Free homemade garlic knots with every pizza. Never had an issue with any of my orders. Don’t waste your time anywhere else!

Awesome pizza, great little place to grab a slice. I wouldn't plan on eating I'm as it is very small but cheese slices was good.

Pizza is good, customer service is not. They can’t get their delivery right and they don’t care to make it right for the customer. We had a catering order they delivered 40 minutes early and a simple dinner order that they wanted to deliver 1:40 after it was ordered and didn’t think there was a problem with that.

Best pizza in Boston in my opinion. People think I'm weird, but you see everything made in front of you. It's always fresh. The staff is super nice and attentive. It's inexpensive. And it's just plain good! Go for a slice or a full size pizza. I hope they stick around for a long time.

I was totally bummed out when old favorite pizza place was closed for the holidays ...but then I called La Befana! Elizabeth took the time to take my phone order and reassure me that this order was going to be the best I ever had AND they were open during the holiday weekend. No where to start but, daaayummm!!! I had to personally call and let them know that the "SWEETIES BURGER" (felt like I was at a cookout) it was amazing. I normally don't order burgers from pizza shop but, this was a game changer for me. Can't wait to try other items on the menu. Highly recommend from a first impression. Kudos!!!
