Kramerbooks & Afterwords Cafe

Wonderful bookstore with a great selection of new releases. Afterwords Cafe has 18 different draft beers, four different craft sodas, and a decent wine selection. The friendly service and good selection of food ensures that we come back to try dinner soon.

New to the area and just discovered Kramerbooks and Afterwords. Great selection of books, and they serve food as well. I think that I have found my local bookstore!

I just love this place and miss it so much! I spent a lot of time here with I lived in DC. The atmosphere, food, drinks, and customer service are all great. It's a good place to study and get work done or just take some time to unwind and catchup with friends. Its a gem!

I was mistaken for a respected Washington Post journalist whilee eating here. I guess thst means they're the kind of people who frequent the achingly trendy Kramerbooks. I should have styled it and signed one of his books...

Friendly server and fast service. Had New Orleans fettuccine. Noodles were a bit al dente but the dish itself was very good. Cozy atmosphere.

The food is quite good here and the service is usually the same. Nice public place to meet someone. As a bookstore it’s sometimes astounding to me that they don’t have something I’m looking for (but I have eclectic tastes) otherwise it’s really a very decent place and in this day and age that’s a great compliment for a bookstore.

Very cozy. Disabled access isn't great, but the staff is VERY helpful. The food is wonderful too and having a cafe in a non-chain bookstore has always been a great idea. They do have an accessible bathroom, so extra points for that.

One of my favorite places in the circle. If you fine at night ask for Less to be your server you will not be disappointed! He's great the food is great and the atmosphere is so nice.

A delightful find for breakfast! The Crab omelet was stuffed with meat, corn, spinach and good ingredients. My boyfriend enjoyed his eggs and potatoes. The service was good and the cost was very reasonable. This was the best breakfast I have had on my trips to DC.

Decent enough selection of books. Some chairs for seating for book reading would be good

Rating is just for Afterwords. Food is alright, but service was disappointing. We had a reservation and got confirmation, but the restaurant gave away our table. That was frustrating.Then, we didn't get one of the items we ordered. The food we got was fine, but not as good as it has been previously (would not recommend the crab omelette).I might go back again, but it'll probably be awhile. Still a cool bookstore though.

Books. Food. Drinks. Awesomeness! Great local book shop. Go but be prepared to spend hours browsing among the books!

Lovely little bookstore attached to a cafe and a bar. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. Extensive selection of books at decent prices. Friendly and helpful staff. Perfect brunch spot or chill afternoon of drinks and lunch. I highly recommend a visit!

Had a wide selection of books on tons of topics. I liked the variety. The one downside is the lack of seating so you have to stand or crouch the whole time you're there. Just bought Syria's Secret Library, a book I've never noticed in other bookstores.
