Krakatoa Indonesian Cuisine

Food and service were very good. We had corn fritters to start and the rijstafel for our dinner. It included rice, salad and a choice of two entrees. The dinner portions felt a little small and the prices felt a little high. Nice neighborhood location. Worth going back to....

A small intimate Hollywood restaurant accompanied with pleasant customer service and a wide variety menu to choose from. As a recommendation, the charcoal grilled lamb skewers are ridiculously delicious. Plus, Krakatoa has a creamy peanut sauce and zesty hot sauces to spice up your entree as hot as you'd like. Lastly, should you have spare room for dessert, be sure to try the "Six Feet Under".Enjoy your Indonesian dining experience.

What an absolutely wonderful dining experience. I am no expert in Indonesian cuisine but my oh my, the flavors were amazing, our thanks to the chef. In addition the service was stupendous, our server Pablo was extremely attentive and made sure we had nothing short of an amazing experience. My wife and I had the Rijstaffel with a sampling of 3 entrees (chicken, beef and shrimp) and rice. All tasted wonderful but the rice was the star of the show. They have a nice wine lists at reasonable prices.

Love this place! It's currently a "special treat" type of restaurant at my household, but with the quality of food and service, it's definitely going to become a frequent stop!! (They also sell their spice blends, which I need to hop on ASAP)The owners are visible and present in their restaurant and are clearly dedicated to their passion here. I have always been impressed with how cozy the atmosphere is and omg the food is a dream. Spice monsters like me will be in heaven (But if you don't like spicy food, that's okay! They offer different levels of spice for each dish)If you're looking for somewhere exciting but not over the top, this is the place to go!

What a find. What a great place. Loved the food the ambiance and the service. They aim to please. The food and flavors danced in your mouth. A must visit for everyday or special occasions.

Saw this place on PBS awesome cuisine the owner and staff are very personable and attentive! Over loved the RIJSTAFFEL dish for two and the pairing of Pongo wine! The hubby and I will definitely be returning soon!

Great food. Wonderful flavors. Excellent service. If you like flavorful food in a low key environment then try this. Corn fritters were excellent. We had the special for two. Chicken was outstanding, better than any sate if ever had. Beef and lamb had very good flavors. Excellent meal.

Loved the place! We're visiting from Dallas and found this on Google. We are a vegetarian/meat-eater couple and there were plenty of options for both of us (and they took special care to ensure they met the dietary preferences for each course). Presentation was beautiful. Food was delicious. Ingredients and flavors came through wonderfully with each dish. A nice atmosphere with lots of traditional decorations. Service was excellent. Would definitely come back again.

Outrageously delicious doesn't begin to describe this wonderful gem! The decor is outstanding, the service is on point and the food is absolutely incredible.....truly the best Indonesian food....so fresh, with subtle layers of both intense and mild spices. If you're not sure of what to order, trust the waiter or manager to make a suggestion. They are very knowledgeable & helpful. This is a great spot for a group, so you can share & experience several dishes. Even with 2 of us we were able to order an impressive variety of dishes. Do not miss this excellent dining experience.

Fabulous!! It was our first time eating Indonesian food. I was a little skeptical at first but boy was I in for a treat! The food was so fresh, light, and well seasoned. The service was impeccable. The waiter was so knowledgeable and passionate about the menu. I saw many repeat customers there that were greeted by the staff. It was extremely clean, you can see true while kitchen when waking to the bathroom. I was so impressed. We now have a new favorite dinner spot. That is always exciting!

What a marvelous gem in downtown Hollywood, FL. This was a wonderful dining experience from the warm reception upon arrival to the delicious meals we ordered. Everything was served with a beautiful presentation. The blend of flavors of tamarind, lemon grass and basil are simply divine. Everything we ordered was spectacular. Can not wait to come back and try everything else on the menu!! Thank you!! ❤️
