Very beautiful garden, obviously it looks better in spring but peaceful and nice regardless of the season. There’s a small tea house in a tiny island in one of the ponds attended by a sweet lady who gives you an explanation of the tea and the cups, it’s a little expensive but totally worth it.

Very beautiful garden, worth the trip to Okayama. Unfortunately it was very rainy and thus wet when we visited (late Oct 2019) so we couldn't spend as much time or roam around as we wanted. Still, the sights were amazing and there was a tranquility that's hard to find anywhere else.Can't speak for crowds as it was pretty empty when we visited. Unsure if that's usual or due to the poor weather.

Beautiful place to visit in Okayama.Not too crowded when I visited there in November. It is comfortable to take some time walking around the place.

I think that there is a gate of the parking lot entrance on the riverside side of the Korakuen site.

There is a bus stop in front of Korakuen. From the JR Okayama Station Korakuen Exit (East Exit) bus stop, take the Okaden bus "for Fujiwara Danchi" → get off at "Korakuenmae".

I do not live in Okayama, but when I travel to Okayama and other prefectures, I have confirmed the opening hours, admission fee, vacation etc. with a smartphone and I have a disability notebook so I am checking the admission fee by telephone to the site. (When examining at Okayama Korakuen smartphone please do not pet your notes. ). Would you like to take your pet in the same way? As for the answer of the person who asked, I answered that someone was taking along, but have not checked anything? If you really want to take it, I think it is best to call the management office in Okayama Korakuen to make sure by posting it to the question corner.

A reading session seems to be held between the castle towers on the second floor of the castle tower from 19:00.

sorry. It was written as 140 yen for those over the age of 65, but... I didn't ask about the discount as it was a normal use.

I think it will close around 20:00 because the park closes at 20:30.

Parking is charged I think it was about 100 yen or 300 yen per hour Check in advance before returning to the parking lot
