Drinks were great the food was okay. Great spot for happy hour however. They have drink and food specials from 2-5. During this time it's totally worth going. They have a nice yard that is great for photos and watching the sun set.

I love this restaurant! I come here with my grandma when I come visit her. Our favorite is to come during happy hour and order nachos to share because they always give you so much. We always get the Mud Pie for dessert, it is absolutely amazing! They have a beautiful view of the ocean and a grassy area you can walk through to get to an area where you can sit by the water. I can't wait to come back the next time I'm in town!!

Great service, however they were out of all the fish items my husband and I ordered. Bar service was amazing.

Wonderful old world feel with good menu selection for small plates or a full on meal. Has the gentle breeze flowing to make the visit heavenly.

In the center of town. Opens for lunch. Clean and classy inside. Killer happy hour Mai Tai's and calamari steaks cut into strips. Great sunset views. Our favorite place!

We always go to the Kona Inn at least a couple of times per visit. This night was off the norm. Service was slow, waitress didn't seem interested in serving us. My wife's salad came out seconds before her meal. Food, as always, was wonderful. Service was bad so only 4 stars due to that.

Kona Inn Restaurant is a nice place to spend much money for good food. Dining is covered, open air right near the beach. Unfortunately the bar area is nearby, and there was a raucous crowd when we sat down.We made reservations and were seated immediately. Our server Dale was helpful in accommodating our dietary needs. He also acknowledged that the bar crowd was loud. Sadly they were out of the ahi and top sirloin. I enjoyed the NY strip and spouse relished the Ono.I recommend reservations, especially for sunset times. Enjoy your meal, but bring a big wallet.

This was an accidental find. Sugar was low & I needed to eat. They gave me a table with a great view but someone parked their boat in the way.Paranoid to go too far off the path since traveling solo and had to drive 90+ miles back to lodging. Food was excellent and matched the ambience. The cleaning crew doesn't miss a crumb and even known to sing a note or two. The wait staff was some of the finest. Very organized and observant. Could easily have stayed longer just to enjoy more conversation with them.

Great happy hour. Nachos were awesome. Drinks are great. Burger was cooked good. But medium quality. Chips and fish great. But over priced.

Possibly the best view from any of the bars on the main drag. Indoor/and covered-outdoor seating available. The calamari is a specialty and if lucky you may meet the man behind the magic, if you do make sure you get Ernie a drink! Also, you can request the nachos to come as a dip rather than a big heap of food, great hack for sharing. Highly recommend this place and the staff are always great.

This is a beautiful restaurant in the Kona Shopping center. Every time we have gone for dinner the food/fish is always fresh and delicious. It is upscale so if you go for dinner it's better to dress nicely. The decor is authentic Hawaiian with koa wood and ceiling fans on pulleys. Dont miss the calamari sandwich for lunch or appetizer at Happy Hour. It's our favorite place to sit at the beautiful bar for Happy Hour. Low key crowd. The service is great and the view can't be beat. The drinks even come with a beautiful orchid floating in them! Only thing I can say is being an upscale restaurant it is $$$$. But if you plan a special night out, its worth it.

Setting is great. Food very mediocre. Has a great history in Kona and the pictures on display show how much the island's population and towns have grown.
