Used a living social deal for dinner. The deal was a great value. Dinner for two for 37. The food was good and tasty. I ordered a spicy dish that was not to spicy but had great flavoring. The space is small so it gets a little loud. I would return especially if I able to snag another living social deal

I am a native New Yorker and will keep to the directness of how we are known to be :) Top Pick for Indian RestaurantFood: Excellent! I love Indian food, so I usually get the "I'd like to eat it the way you'd prepare it on your house" :) Which was really hot! So, the mild version would be what I would tell most to have :) While I try most Indian dishes, for comparative purposes I usually order chicken curry. The Chicken Masala Kulambu had to be the best masala I have had in NYC. This place has one of the best well balanced and authentic South Indian dishes. Highly recommend this place when you are craving Indian food or trying it for the first time.Drinks: Excellent Try the Tropical KeralaSpace: Good for date nights or get-togethers. The main dining area is a little narrow, but the staff makes treats you like your royalty:)Service: Surin is the main host and makes you feel like you are a rock star. The staff is very professional, courteous and provides elegant service.

Great Food. Gotta get the Nan bread of course. Beware, can be a bit spicy for some dishes if you're used to Americanized Indian food.

Really good authentic south indian food. The kerala porotta has the real taste. Best picks re kumali chicken. Ghee roast shrimp, chettinad chicken curry. Really well cooked and spices and other ingredients at correct amount.

Had an extensive offering of Indian dishes, some I have not seen before. Loved how they also had chapati a whole grain bread they made. I don't see enough whole grain in New York, so that was nice.Food was good. Service good and enjoyed the the experience.

Enjoyable Indian food that is presented on a varied menu. I gave just 3 stars because the tables are very very close together, uncomfortable for all. Also so small you can hardly fit your drink and food for 2. Which is ridiculous. Throw in that your presented luke warm tap water when you arrive in tatty looking bottle and glasses. Have it removed because it just looks unpleasant. The Kingfisher beer which is meant to be "Indian" is brewed in NY, tastes like beer from the 1980s. Not filtered just a horrendous sharp taste. Popadoms were tiny, pointless.Lemon rice was 8 dollars on the menu, I have no idea what goes into Lemon Rice to make it 8 dollars. Does Megan Fox come and feed me ? Even the Basmati was 5 bucks. Other than that, food was ok. I stuck with the Tikka as it was white meat.

One of the best Indian restaurants in the city. Excellent and fresh spices with consistent quality. Also unlike other Indian restaurants in the area I don't feel bloated or sick an hour after. Beware of the spice levels though...

The food here was heavnly. Just what you need when you are missing home. Go for the appam and dosas.
