Fantastic. The quality of the beef was great and the flavor, fat, and sweetness really came through.

DO NOT EAT HERE!!! We walked down Dotunburi on our first day in Osaka and were lured by the stand outside supposedly serving “A5 Kobe beefâ€. Prices started at 1800yen for 100grams, with a “tender meat†option at 2800yen and so forth. We thought, we will just try the 1800yen option since we don’t know how legit it is. The lady at the till said that one is tough and talked us into the 2800yen option. I should have realised it was a trap at this point (what kind of decent establishment knowingly sells tough Kobe beef?) but we were so hungry we bought it. Next bad sign was the chef pulled a piece of meat out of the freezer and grilled it on the pan. We were still hopeful (or maybe just hungry) when it was served. The first bite revealed our 2800yen steak was a total DUD. Tough, chewy, sinewy and worst of all cold on the inside. The absolute worst beef I’ve had and at an exorbitant price too. I highly doubt it was even Kobe let alone “A5â€. Do not eat here!!!
