Great little lunch spot a short walk from the Hilton hotel. Chickpea salad was really good, and of course, the pies are the bomb. Shrimp on the barbie were tasty too. Looking forward to coming back when I can wash it down with a nice cold bottle of suds at dinner next time.

Was feeling a little homesick so travelled out to East Boston to find this little gem. If you want a proper meat pie, this is the place to come. They also have other Aussie treats like sausage pies, lamingtons and shrimp on the barbie (aka prawns). They also have a decent selection of Aussie beers and memorabilia. In the summer, enjoy a game of corn hole or just bask in the sun in one of their deck chairs while enjoying views of the Boston skyline.

This place is good and the people are nice. I started coming to KO Pies about two years ago, and loved it. However, the prices have gone up, which is understandable, I mean the price of things go up. But they started charging for brown sauce. I just paid $14 for a floating pie and you are going to charge me 50¢ for little container of brown sauce?! Really?! Don't nickel and dime me. Also, they changed the ordering process...now you order everything at the bar... meanwhile there is a person continually standing at the pie counter. This is inefficient if all you want is a beer, because you wait in a line of people ordering pies. Kind of frustrating during busy times. Work on flow and not charging for condiments. Just my two cents.

I only heard about this place recently but it blew me out of the water (puns always intended, it's right next to the water after all). A cool closed off patio when you first walk in leading you to the counter inside. The place is small, quaint, and off the beaten path - a true gentleman if I've ever seen one. The lamb pie was out if this world, my only regret was eating it so fas. With a continuously crispy crust and phenomenal flavors found within I honestly couldn't help myself in devouring it. I came to the realization that I needed more and bought 3 to take home with me, needless to say I'll be back and this time with friends.

Great beef pies. Try the classic one. Everything I expected it to be.

Amazing Australian style meat pies. Fun little location in the industrial piers of East boston. Good local craft beer selection too.

A hidden gem of East Boston right on the water. It’s a perfect stop along a walk in the deserted piers. The pies are flakey, hearty, and comforting. Go with the classic beef and cheese, but any other selection will be satisfying as well. The owner clearly pours their heart into their hometown staple.

Wonderful hidden gem! Great meat pies, as good or better than any I've had in England.

Having formally lived in Australia, this place makes a fantastic sausage roll and meat pie and don't forget the chips :-)

Open for delivery & takeout during the virus. East Boston staple and always delicious and fun. I can't wait until the weather is warm and quarantine is over so I can go to KO Pies and have a cold beer on a hot day.

The pies are fantastic. If you get a sausage roll, get a side of brown sauce. You're welcome

The staff over at Downeast recommended KO Pies to me one day and it’s become one of my favorite places to eat. First of all it’s in the best location since it’s right next to Downeast Cider, so I can start there and have some drinks and then walk over for some food (and more cider). The wok tossed salt and pepper wings with jalapeño lime mayo are the best wings I have ever had in my life. The potato wedges are also the best I’ve ever had. And then there’s the actual pies which are to die for. Order your pie as a floater to get extra mashed potatoes on top with gravy and mushy peas. You will not be disappointed. But you probably won’t be able to finish it because they’re filling!

Great little meat pie shop right next to ICA Watershed. We had a party of 9 head here for lunch and everyone thought it was delicious! Having lived in Australia myself, I can guarantee they make a good meat pie. In fact, we ended up ordering a few more to take away for later! I suggest hitting up the museum (if it's open) then grabbing a pie here and heading next door to Down East Brewing company! Definitely a great day!
