I LOVE this place. Amazing food, fast service, and great prices. Decor is edgy, BDSM inspired, and menus are covered in old school artwork. Chopsticks are supplied at the end of every meal with sugar to put in the cotton candy machine outside so you can make your own dessert :) Place is always packed, so arrive a bit before they open or be prepared to wait.

This place is SO tasty. Super good prices and a great place for late night food. Whenever I go to New York I have to eat here. The food always tastes so fresh and good! It's like BDSM themed but not so much that it would make someone feel uncomfortable. I recommend the fatty tuna and the roulette takoyaki! I've never had a bad experience here nor have I ever had too much of a language barrier issue either. My favorite part is that you get to make your own cotton candy outside when you're done. Some times there is a wait but it's only like at max 30 minutes, there's plenty of things to walk by and see or go get a snack near by while you wait! :)

The staff is super nice, and the restaurant is always busy. Usually takes a bit to get inside but the vibes are very chill and the seats are very very small armless chairs. Would definitely recommend for someone who wants good food/beer at low prices.Theres a 20$ card minimum, just as a heads up.

Loved this place. Gets pretty packed and their is about a 15-20 minute wait on weekends. They have a cool cotton candy machine outside. You can make your own cotton candy, free! Staff is friendly and courteous. Large selection of sake. Sushi was great but stay away from the mackerel. They have plenty of other food options if you want to bring a date that doesn't eat sushi. Who doesn't eat sushi though?

Better come early. You won't be rushed out despite the crowds piling outside. It's an izakaya, order a drink and 2 snacks to share and repeat until you've had your fill. The fried goods and the takoyaki are especially nice!

Love this restaurant! Its filled with sexy Japanese fantasies and this gives it such a cool and different vibe! The lighting is dim, the tables and chairs are low and the atmosphere is very comfy and nice. It is loud and crowded and there seems to always be a wait but it's worth it!The food is yummy and we had an excellent waiter who was able to help me get plenty of delicious food without any gluten or soy! This is tricky with all the soy on the menu but he went above and beyond to help me out.The food is cheap and tastes yummy. I think the sake is a little pricey compared to sake i have had in other places and i didn't think it was extra special in any way.I definitely recommend this restaurant!I was too hungry and forgot to take pictures of the food 🤦🏻‍♀️ .

Always a Great Time and lots of inexpensive dishes and $1.50 Kirin and Sapporo Draft Beers!! Spot on, but can get crowded, so get there early as possible! Lots of diverse Asian customers, as the food is authentic and reasonably priced! :-)

I have been coming here for the past 15 years. I have lived in japan before and It is by far the most authentic japanese food I have found in the US. Here you can find the real stuff, not the standard things people serve at sushi restaurants. All the cooks and wait staff are japanese. Also, the cheapest beer in the city!!

Amazing skewers, tonkatsu, and fried udon! Was pleasantly surprised by the large portions considering the prices were really inexpensive. Interesting space/decor, service was good and attentive, and they give you sugar to make cotton candy for dessert! 😍 highly recommend!

Aesthetically, very different than what I was used to. Very dark but still lively. The food was delicious. I tasted the gyudon and the niku don. The meat in both dishes were very flavorful and made me crave more. Portion size was also perfect. The food prices were very low and made this a very affordable experience. Will definitely come back here next time I'm in the area.

Used to be a good place. But this time around I was criticized for not giving a tip for standard service and given the bill before stating I was finished with my meal.. Customer service.. Where did it go???

Really affordable, amazing food. Long wait lines so remember to put your name down on the list. Wait times are dependant on when you arrive and I think on party size also. I had the peach soda and the house special fried rice, the food was flavorful and plentiful.

Authentic Japanese Izakaya experience for an affordable price, but expect long wait times on weekend evenings.

Great food at very reasonable prices. Expect some oddities and a fairly long wait.

This is a good place to go after work if you want some cheap food and beer with some friends. Some of the dishes can be overly salty, but the price is very reasonable. I have been there many times and I always leave very satisfied.I would recommend the okonomiyaki, takoyaki, and Kenka fried rice.

Questions & Answers

The way they take reservations is you need to show up at least an hour prior to opening and write your name down with your party size.

Credit card accepted

No. Before being seated they will ask at entrance if you will be drinking to show ID.

No, not at the moment. They'll probably lose more money if they start business for outdoor dining only. Hopefully, they'll consider it now that Cuomo is allowing limited indoor dining.

They give you a drink, sing you a song, then give you a bill.

Others say "yes" but in reality the menu is NOT vegan friendly. Japanese cuisine as a whole does not easily accommodate vegans. If you come here your options will pretty much be only vegetable fried rice.

Not sure but they sell 32oz draft beer mugs for like $7

Maybe, I believe I've seen people doing takeout before.
