I think the food and service is great. Our server Tonya was very attentive and friendly. It is apparent that the cook takes pride in his work. Personally, I love that I can peek into the kitchen and know that Im getting food prepared in a clean kitchen. We will for sure come in again.

Great neighborhood Cafe! Tasty food, generous portions, friendly staff, and reasonable prices. The pie is to die for! And the street this restaurant is on, is adorable! Lots of great shopping. Definitely worth a stop!

Looking for a piece of local history? Try Kelcy's! Breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Desserts too. Just coffee is OK too. Check out all the photographs of Edwards AFB planes, pilots, and history. Specials each day.

Decent breakfast with excellent service. Daily specials with some old school counter seating. Bigger tables and booths for large parties.

Old fashioned 50s style diner. Lots of Formica and period pictures. Service is friendly and food is good. I would go back when passing through town

For a down home good meal be sure to visit the re-opened Kelsey's in train town Tehachapi. Kelsey's had been a staple for breakfasts on my trips from the Central Valley to the desert using California Highway 58.They were closed for an unknown (to me) reason, and I was wondering about the loss of a staple eating destination for locals and travelers alike.I'm glad to report they are now open again. It doesn't look like much has changed, decor-wise. The airplane, NASA, and train photos are still there. Their simple wholesome and hearty meals also are on the menu.If you appreciate the train town history and four seasons in the mountains, you can find them at Kelsey's and Tehachapi.

Questions & Answers

Hi Mary, Most people who try them say it's the best biscuits and gravy in town. (This was NOT the case last fall when we first reopened, but we have replaced those cooks.) Of course any place can have an occasional off day, but the overwhelming majority of our reviews are very positive. If you haven't been in for awhile, come try us again. Thanks.

The restaurant has now reopened as of August, 2019.
