Kay's Orcutt Country Kitchen

The French toast was a bit on the dry side and really tasted just alright. In contrast the bacon was fantastic, superbly crispy just as I'd ordered. The service was OK but I think they're understaffed for the customer traffic. My experience was that this place had a few cleanliness issues, but nothing grotesque. Overall, Kay's is an underwhelming experience considering the price of their menu. This wasn't a horrible meal but wasn't one drawing me back either. A mediocre 2.5/5 stars (rounded to 2 for the cleanliness issues).

Great food and awesome atmosphere. Went in for a family breakfast on a Sunday. It was a little busy upon arrival, but even for our party of six the wait was under ten minutes. I went with my eggs bene Florentine, always my go to for breakfast. I am happy to say I could order that every time and be completely satisfied. The hollandaise had the perfect texture. Another table favorite was the chicken fried steak. It had excellent gravy, with a nice light fry on the steak. Even my youngest, who tends to have finicky pallet, really liked her "Mickey Mouse Pancake". Which turned out to be Kirby instead , lol. Everyone enjoyed the awesome service and the great decor. The breakfast is huge and top notch quality but definitely more pricey than I would like. I don't come here much just a waffle and omlette will set you back around 30$ great portions and quality ingredients tho. Staff are very nice

Hard, big portions, great service, and very nice owners Kay and her husband can usually be found makeing there rounds helping and creating customers. They do it all from socializing to cleaning up and wiping down tables. I always really enjoy seeing the owners of establishments taking pride in their business. Especially getting into the work like their employees, all with smiles. Great place, deffinitely recommend.

Went to eat breakfasts at Kay's. Heard great things about their Harvest French Toast. So I took my sister for her Birthday. We arrived and took a number. Waited outside, no waiting area and it had just rained so outside seats were wet... So we stood. We were a party of 3. After waiting 15 minutes a party of four walks by a get seated right away. We were finally seated a few minutes after. We sat down, and ordered our food. Found a hair in my eggs. Still I didn't complain. Then my sister finds a hair in her food. : | Only had half and half creamer, coffee was bitter. I still left tip. For a party of 3 I paid $60. Will not be back.

Superb in every way. Food was fantastic, seriously the most delicious gravy I have ever tasted on a breakfast plate. Staff were totally phenomenal and treated us like family. I envy every local with the ability to eat here regularly.

Best breakfast bar none! A bit pricey but huge servings. Service is spot on. Be prepared for a wait, I don't think I have ever gone when there wasn't some what of a wait but they have tables and coffee to ride you over. Tried the salmon benedict's based on servers suggestion. The salmon was cooked perfect and delicious. Daughter tried the sliders which she loved. They gave her has browns instead of home fries. When she told the waitress, she was back in less than 3 minutes with a plate of hot home fries. Where else can you get service like that?

Super popular local eatery in Orcutt. Came in for Sunday brunch and found it a totally pleasant experience. Food was excellent and portions were generous. Staff is super friendly. Enjoyed everything about this place!

Was searching the area for good breakfast and stumbled upon this location. The food is great and the service from our waitress was amazing. Best breakfast in the area. The food portions were good and the taste was great. I would make this a stopping point if you are driving through the area. Super friendly staff.
