Kaya Malay Bistro

Had the all ayce dinner. The nyonya chicken curry was really good. The phad Thai was not bad. The pork chop and calamari was decent too. Service was really good. They were busy on a Thursday evening. Good value for sure.

Good. Not amazing. Enjoyed our time there. Good value. We did Dine Out Vancouver. Tasty food. The menu had enough variety and included some vegetarian options which was useful for the friend we brought. We would come back again.

Interesting place . Didn’t even know it was here until I bought their groupon. Service was typical and foodWas good. I had the laksa and fried banana dessert. It was pretty good. May go back to try some of other items on the menu .

Had a lovely lunch here! Decor is beautiful and the food was amazing. My waiter Denny was lovely and friendly.

Was there for dine out with a friend and we were pleasantly surprised how delicious the food was. I did however have to wait awhile for my food and my friend was already finishing hers by the time mine came out. Then only a part of my order came out as they had punched it in wrong but they fixed it right away. Luckily, the taste of the food was enough to make up for it. It came out hot, presentation was good and most importantly, was very tasty. The only complaint is that the beef skewer was very dry like cardboard. Everything else was perfect. Portion wise, it was just right, we left full and for $25, the 3 course dinner is good.

Some of the WORST service I’ve had. None of the dishes came with serving utensils. IF the food came!! We came in with a reservation, were ignored for it because we didn't come in at once and sat at a table that was too small.The servers were COMPLETELY unaware of the things they had on tap. Let alone what "on tap" meant. It gets worse but I’ll just leave it at that.For having a groupon the price was alright. But I wouldn’t recommend anyone coming here. The food is good, but the people are Highly unprofessional.

Somewhat underwhelming. I love southeast Asian food - the tangy, spicy, savoury mix with bright, bold flavours. All of the dishes I tried at Kaya were mere hints of the flavours that should be bold and flashy - they were tasty, but nothing to write home about. The table service was odd: none of our dishes came out together (and in fact seemed to be synchronized with the neighbouring table). Our dessert was actually served in plastic cups with plastic spoons - not unusual in itself, but the neighbouring table received the same dessert in a fancy glass with a real spoon. Again... just odd. And that bathroom... Why anyone would put so small a sink in so large a room is beyond me.We unfortunately did not like it enough to come back; for us, there is better Malaysian fare closer to home.

Food is one of the best. Recommend this place only if you are patient enough to wait. This is my second time here. Dishes come to table extremely slow. It took 2 hour 15 minutes to finish (two people). The last dish-set came one and half hour after seated.

2 stars only because food was mostly decent, price fair although dishes were smaller than other establishments and soup was bland. my disgust was from their service, been here prior they were busy so had poor service was my excuse, but with the reviewers and this last experience I can say their waitress was still horrible !!! because they were not busy and I still got attitude and waited fifteen minutes for my drink had to follow up on napkins twice and got ignored for tea and bill when finished meal

Awesome Malaysian food and really friendly helpful staff. Easily on par with the likes of Banana Leaf. Great flavours and excellent variety of dishes. Large space for big groups too, but also good if its just the two of you.
