Everyone who says the service is not up to par is being honest. I've had many experiences here service-wise both good and bad. They need more help in the front of the house. Even one more person would do.But let me tell you...The food is worth it! The kimchi is excellent, and you can get as much as you want. The food is perfection! I've waited 45 minutes to get served before (super busy that night and only two people working the front), but it was soooooo worth it!! When we did order, the food came out quickly. If you had a bad experience, just try it again. Go in the off hours (after lunch rush usually). Also, please remember the staff are traditional Korean. Their culture may be a little different than what you are used to.

Kaya is always a great place to go for quality Korean dining. The food is phenomenal and the atmosphere is truly Korean. Always a great place for a quick bite! Average pricing for the area and never too busy. This personal favorite receives a Hartford score of 70/75, the highest to date!

Delicious Korean food. Nicely decorated environment. Definitely a great choice to go alone, with friends or your partner. The plus is that in to other side of the restaurant there is a Korean/Japonese gloceries store.

Clean, plenty of room. Very much to date Korean food. Wheelchair accessible, restrooms was clean. Dinning area clean and neat. Food was brought to our table in a flash. Servers were friendly and welcoming. Kimchi was never disappointing started off with kimbob and came up with some more tasty dishes to come. So worth the stop.

Love this little family owned restaurant. The service is always really good. There have been times when we have to wait a little longer than what you may consider acceptable, but the food is well worth the wait. And if you have the right company with you, it doesn't seem like that long. The food is spectacular. The sides that come out (sweetened potatoes, spiced cucumbers, kimchi, spicy salad) are amazing and the steaming bowls are pretty impressive. I've been here just a few times, but every time I eat here, I wake up the next day or two thinking about how good their food is.

The staff have always been very nice, the atmosphere is calm and unique, and the food is always perfect. The only downside that I can think of is that you don't get much meat when you order the BBQ dishes, some KBBQ places in Atlanta even offer unlimited meat for the same price. As well as I wish the staff allowed you to cook your own meat, I think that's a part of the fun. I would happily and swiftly recommend this place to anyone looking for a break in the constant stream of greasy fast food restaurants that seem to populate the majority of Knoxville. I personally recommend any of the stews as they're tasty, you get a lot for your money, and it comes out quick.

The service was FAST! One woman show in front of the house and BOY was she efficient. I asked for vegan options and she showed me how the entire vegetarian section could be made vegan. They serve small side dishes to each table free of charge and she intelligently made sure all of ours were vegan. No need to ask for drink refills. Glasses were whipped off of the table and back full before you finished wiping your mouth. And the flavours? ?? GET OUT! Party on your tongue dynamite! Vegan in Knoxville area? GO HERE!!

Questions & Answers

My experience is they serve steamed white rice with their entrees. The meats and veggies can be seasoned mild to spicy depending on your preference.

Not 100% sure but i think not. I think there was a sign in there last time that said they didn't do it anymore.

Its expensive but it worthed. The best one there is seafood with veggies. Its really good. Its about $19

No, sorry

Not all you can eat

Their Napa cabbage kim chi is made in-house and about medium spicy. It comes along with your entree order. You get a few types including typical Napa cabbage, cucumber, and romaine lettuce. The weekend lunch buffet has even more to choose from. I enjoy them all very much.

Some tables have a grill. You can cook yourself or order from the kitchen.
