Kariyamachi Toragen

Toragen is my favorite local restaurant in the Kariya and Nagoya area. Amazing ramen. Great service and always with a friendly staff. I love the special tantanmen and crave it weekly!

It is a shop of tantan noodles. Inside the store is only the counter. If you enter the store, the store will guide you. I asked at noon, but I just put it at the timing of change.The order is chilled noodles. It was the first time I was attracted to the basic Tandan noodles, but I felt cold.The noodles seem to be divided into several types, and the cold noodles are flat noodles. Quite sticky texture. It is chilled with ice water. The soup is quite droli and has a strong flavor of sesame seeds, and the balance of hotness was just right for me personally.At lunch time, rice is free, but I used only tannin noodles. As there is a volume of noodles so much, it was just a good amount.Everybody had a very good customer service and I thought it was a good shop. If it becomes a popular store only in the fierce war zone around Kariya Station, this kind of service may be essential.

At lunch we had soup and tannin noodles (usually hot) and stubborn tiger dumplings. Tanshimanmen is a delicious noodle that has the flavor that makes it feel like a specialty store, and also fits for lunch free rice.Yuzu looks good! The distribution of meat and vegetables is also non-greasy and thin, so it can be eaten GOOD and Pak Pak.

Highly recommended for those who like hot things. If I'm hungry in Kariya, I will definitely corrode the tannin noodles or mapo beans here.The hot bite of Chinese yam and perspiration by capsaicin, the more you eat, the more delicious it is.White rice (small size) is free for lunch time. Boil the tongue and you can eat it well, eat with mapo tofu and rice, it's delicious anyway. Spicy.However, lunch time is likely to be crowded as it is a popular store if you do not go early.Lastly, the clerk's service is very pleasant. Of course the taste of the food is delicious, but if you receive careful service, the food will be more delicious.

Tried this ramen here at the recommendation of a friend. The char siew in the ramen is superb. Be sure to order the special one as the normal one doesn't have the char siew. The dan dan noodles itself is different from other ramen. Worth a try.The best part of this establishment is the staff. All of them are young and energetic, and very friendly to boot. Best customer service I've encountered so far (none in my group speaks Japanese, luckily they can understand a little English). 5 stars for the service!
