Kampai Japanese Restaurant

Deceptively spacious, cool atmosphere. One of the few places in the area that does Hibachi. Chefs are pro's, do a great job of performing as well as coming. They do a few specialty cocktails (tiki glasses available) that are very reasonable, whereas the food is a little pricier, but you are paying for dinner and a show. Memorable place for the kiddies or special occasions. Service was very friendly if a little inconsistent, and once we got seated everything kept moving.

We have been going to Kampai for 40 years, I think they have raised the prices, that's O.K., but the Quan seems to have taken a hit. One example, the shrimp tempura, the shrimp were sooo much smaller than I remember, and give more veggies. Thanks, you're still excellent , but could see something in amounts lacking

Food was VERY good. Employees were also very nice and personable. Smaller portions that some other Japanese/Chinese restaurants I have been to. Don't go without getting the volcano bowl for 2.

The food was typical hibachi fare. The dining room is too small for the layout of the hibachi tables. Excellent staff!

Kampai has amazing hibachi and sushi, nice koi pond for kids to look at, great service
