Best place ever!!!

the good: the meat and entrails were quite tasty and were served very quickly. atmosphere was lively. there’s a wide variety of meat options. pretty affordable too (dinner for two was ~¥5500).the not-so-good: we thought we would beat the dinner rush by arriving around 6ish but we waited in line for 90 minutes (on a saturday, to be fair). the food was good but not quite 90-minute-wait good. as with a lot of yakiniku places the air gets very smokey (from the meat and the cigarettes).honestly, while we liked the food and had a good time, i’m not sure the long wait was justified. consider going at VERY off-peak hours, or trying one of the many other yakiniku/entrail restaurants that are about as good as this one, without the long lines.

Though the idea of eating entrails was definitely daunting, this was one of the best meals I had in Tokyo. Recommended by my host for good reason, the place is sweaty, lively, and intimate. Though the menu can be intimidating (I only had a very basic functional level of Japanese when I went), the wait staff is friendly and helpful even to 外国人, helping me choose a course and making sure I didn't overcook it.

Unfortunately it was raining, but many people were waiting in line. The clerk was comfortable and vibrant. The leeks recommended by the clerk were the best, and they were sold out immediately with only a limited menu. Both hormones and grilled meat are fresh and very satisfying. Draft beer is good for hormones, but fresh grapefruit sour is also recommended. It is a dish that can be served immediately rather than being squeezed by yourself.
