Very homey and seems like a specialty house. We made reservation beforehand and waited around until their office hours. The place was incredibly small but could take lots of customers. Could be great for a tourist to try this not so touristy place. Food was great.

The staff was able to communicate in English, and the rice was really warm and delicious.I ordered the open time at 11:30 and ordered it.The rice takes about 30 minutes, and the side menu is followed by the course menu. It is strong !!

It is rice bowl which can feel health. I was surprised because the proportions of rice and ingredients were almost similar. The rice bowl with seafood was especially delicious. I wanted to eat everything by kind. It is the best among fingers to eat in Tokyo. And the service is really friendly.

Arrived 5 minutes before opening and without any reservations, I was lucky to put in. Wait about 20 minutes for cooking because it is a kettle. I chose fried chicken because I chose a lunch with a small bowl to choose from. The restaurant and the atmosphere of the restaurant, as well as the kettle, were wonderful shops that made me feel nostalgic for the first time.

Fantastic food and service. All the dishes are fantastic. But their rice pot called Gomoku is the best. So fragrant and taste is perfect.

I was one of the 1st customers, alone, and therefore seated at the small table area. The person who greeted me seemed to be a senior staff member. The 1st thing he did was to ask me where I was from; thereafter they would speak to me in English and Mandarin. They made the effort to make me feel at home. I ordered the octopus kettle rice, and the rice and octopus were cooked just right. The sashimi moriawase was also great. Presentation was great. Overall, it was a relaxed, pleasant lunch experience.

Staff is very nice even though we couldn't read the menu, although something to note is the food takes around 30 mins to cook, so make sure to come early.

Kamameshi ("kettle rice") is rice cooked in an iron pot, called a kama. You'll get some crunchy burnt rice from this cooking method. Under ¥2,000 for a very filling and tasty lunch. Tatami seating, small restaurant. Go at 11:30 to avoid a wait. Japanese-only menu, cash only. Order the ¥1,620 lunch set, and ask for which side they recommend ("Nani ga osusume desuka?"). The default kamameshi comes with a tiny bit of shrimp, clams, fresh bamboo shoots, sliced shiitake mushrooms, chicken, and fresh cilantro. (It's mostly rice.) You have the option to choose a different kamameshi and pay the additional price difference, if any. Hot tea (ocha) with refills is free. Deducted one star because they allow smoking everywhere in the restaurant, which is not my favorite environment in which to eat.
