kamakura Japanese Cuisine and sushi

Food was ok, I did not try sushi today. Had a weird encounter where the waiter brought me the check but did not show the price. Had to request he go back to show the cost. Not challenging it, it was just very weird, never had an establishment do the. Pay now, nevermind the price!

Delicious food, and wonderful staff. Food came out quick and the atmosphere was wonderful. The only complaint I have is that there are buttons to call the waiters, but they are slightly confusing because there seems to be two buttons.

My husband and I had the vegan Dynamite Roll, the Welcome to Vegan World roll, the seaweed salad and miso soup and it was all very, very good. The service was great, everyone was really nice, and the place looks great. We will definitely recommend it to friends and be back when we’re in town.

Got food to go had a very small portion of steak and chicken enough to fill 1/2 meassuring cup container was mainly filled with rice for 14 give or take on taxes a container you'd think that you would get more meat then that

Friendly staff who were very attentive and happy to help us. Large selection of rolls, dons, sashimi, and nigiri. Loved the uni nigiri. There's something for everyone and the quality of the fish was fantastic.

It was a bit salty and the sushi rice had a soft texture. We had specialty rolls and I felt this way about all three. The service was nice and they had plenty of room for dinner on a weekday night. I did love the Agadashi tofu and the miso soup was also fine.

Five stars for the food but significantly less for the service. I’ve been here three times and there has been something off about the service each time. The staff is very nice but it seems like they’re still working out how to navigate how popular the restaurant has gotten. The first time I visited, they promised a 20 minute wait but it ended up being over an hour. I went back inside a few times to politely check on the status but each time the staff reassured me it would only be a few more minutes. I just wish they had been honest/realistic. The second time I went, I didn’t receive half of the items I ordered because apparently last call had happened while our server was taking our order (which happens electronically). I was the last to order so I guess that’s why I was the only one affected. I wasn’t informed of this until I had sat waiting for the rest of my food for some time while my friends continued eating and asked our server about it. I’m not sure why the restaurant sat us if they couldn’t fully serve us. My friends ended up giving me some of their food because the restaurant never apologized or offered me something (anything) else to eat. On my third visit, the service was significantly better than the first two times but was still meh. I’ll probably keep coming back occasionally because the food is AMAZING but I do hope they can get their service together.

Favorite place to get Sushi in Seattle! I'm poor and dying of poverty, kind of, but I can always afford to eat here. Love the dark interior and my go to plate is the Alaskan roll.

Sushi is always delicious and they were kind enough to send my pickup order with some free miso soup. Great little spot!!!

Nice tasty sushi, may have over charged my friend but I didn’t have any issues

I have a bad experience at the sushi restaurant. I had some issues with the food and the service, which is not ideal. Cracked my teeth on a small stone inside the sushi. It is a safety concern, and the restaurant should take that seriously. It's also not acceptable for the waitress to rush you through your meal and then start cleaning the floor while you're still eating. Overall, it sounds like the restaurant failed to provide good customer service, which is disappointing.

This place is absolutely amazing! Please stop by and visit they're new and I believe the deserve way more service. The staff are all so polite, the rolls are relatively inexpensive and swing way above their price range completing with places like Umi Sake House. Atmosphere is comfortable as well. Tl;Dr place has great food, great service and is comfortable, what's not to love?

We came here for lunch and it was REALLY good! Great selections and good prices! Very friendly service!

As soon as our family entered the restaurant we were offered a choice between the regular menu and the vegan menu. We are all vegetarian so of course we selected the vegan menu. It had a HUGE array of interesting options in every category. We ordered six items and all were excellent. The barley tea was basic but tasty and warm. We love ginger so the big bowl of it on the table was especially appreciated. Staff were professional, and helpful in explaining their options. I wish we lived closer to Seattle so we could visit more often. Highly recommended!
