I was very nervous to try this place because we have been in texas for 5yrs now and haven’t found a good authentic Mexican restaurant. The food was delicious!!!! My husband has the Brisket Birria and I had the chicken mole. We also ordered a small Pozole. The food was warm, fresh and delicious! The service was wonderful and we will be coming while we live in Houston 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 they are closed on Sundays FYI.

Finally a place that isn't Tex-Mex. Only complaint was that the tortilla chips were thin, pale, and luke warm. Salsa was great, little bit runny but had a kick. Charro beans were great. The steak fajita tacos are amazing. Great flavor and the homemade corn tortillas use white corn and the texture is smooth. Similar to flour but with a hint of corn taste. Rice was fluffy and moist. Not dried out and over seasoned like most places around here. Traditional chicken enchilada was great. Sauce was flavorful and the chicken was juicy not dry or bland. Pozole was piping hot and cooked perfectly with plenty of pork. We will definitely be back and are so happy to finally have found a Mexican restaurant in the Houston area we enjoy. It's a little more pricey than the Tex-Mex places but worth it.

I went to the new location for the first time. Let me start with the chips and salsa, the salsa looked authentic (not from a jar) and it was warm but it had no flavor and it was very watery. I ordered the caldo the pollo (chicken soup) that didn't include tortillas, who does that?! The chicken was good but the caldo was red and tasted more like menudo broth, not like chicken broth. It was also missing a lot of vegetables, it was mostly carrots, My husband ordered the carne guisada and the meat was very dry. The skinny margarita on the rocks was very good. Sorry but we probably won't be back.
