Jovanina's Broken Italian

Fun environment, great food. If you have an issue with dairy of any sort, like milk in a sauce, be sure to ask a couple of times. I have to say, the meal I ate was phenomenal, but there was milk in it, which my body does not tolerate, despite my having asked. Afterwards, on my way out, I gently mentioned this to The gentleman who had taken my order, whom I'd asked about whether or not there was any milk in the sauce. He apologized profusely and immediately said he was going to refund my whole bill, which I certainly did not expect. He was a real gentleman and I appreciated The gesture. I definitely will go back and highly recommend this place. And if you can eat milk, then definitely get the elk pasta.

As far as Italian food in Denver is concerned, Jovanina's is one of the few that know how to correctly cook pasta. The fish and pasta we had were delicious and the wine selection was on par (Italian wine is my favorite so I was happy so see some of my favs on the list). The desert portions are larger than normal which I appreciate. Perfect date night. The upstairs and downstairs vibes are TOTALLY different but both great. I do wish the wine cellar has a little more on the walls then some weird rug things.

We had a great meal here here. I had the Pizza which was excellent, my wife had a pasta dish she loved. Drinks were wonderful and we tried absinthe!! Highly recommend

Fantastic food! Super bummed the speakeasy is closed on Wednesday's but the food, ambiance, and staff were great! Definitely on the pricier side, but a good spot for special occasions.

Can I give it 10 stars?! This is one of my new top 5 restaurants in Denver! The food was incredible and the ambiance leaves little to be desired. Highly recommend the elk ragu (if it is still on the menu when you go).

Fantastic time hosting a girls night out here. The service was excellent and they handled our large party beautifully. The food was delicious and the speak easy space was fun!

Food was delicious, server was really nice. Hostess even got us seated before expected. But, took 5 minutes to get water to the table, and wine we ordered was out of stock. Somm recommended another bottle, which was nothing like what we ordered. Server made it right and brought another bottle as a replacement, but when we got the bill it was a bottle that was 25% more. Felt like we were trying to be bamboozled. Only after asking did they discount the bottle.
