Johns World Famous Hawaii Hot Dogs

Absolutely adored this place! John has had this cart for 19 years and has enjoyed every minute of it. His hours vary so don’t trust the times that Google has written. I stayed at the hotel right next to his cart and would go out every day looking for him, some days he was there by 2, other days he starts setting up at 4. He usually stays a little past sunset and the latest I’ve seen him is 9. It’s a hot dog cart so don’t have high expectations for what you’re getting but it’s better than your local Costco dog. He stays right by the beach so he’s perfect for after a day of swimming and beach. Support your small local businesses!

Awesome Big John All-Beef Dog. Loaded with spicy mustard, onions, jalapeños, and relish. Excellent taste and filling! Nice variety of dogs, toppings, chips, and beverages. Don’t miss this pop-up stand near the Hilton and Ilikai Boat Harbor.

Considering the price it’s pretty basic. I feel all the condiments were off the shelf. It was basically a Costco hotdog with jalapeños and cheese. The service was good. The location was good. With any decent competition

John was such a personable and sweet guy that puts together a delicious hot dog. I recommend going to him after a long day on the beach or to grab a dog right before the 8pm fireworks on Fridays.
