John's is a traditional WI bar but separates itself with a good traditional American menu. The chicken sandwich is fantastic, marinated in catalina dressing, and cooked to perfection. Great place to drop in for a bite.

Me and my friends went here last July for a friend's birthday. I was extremely pregnant so I wasn't going to drink, plus was 19 at the time so I was just tagging along. It was raining out and I had to sit outside because they refused to let me in. Only time they let me in was when I really needed to use the bathroom and I had to have my friends beg the bartender to let me use it. I was sitting outside on the uncomfortable bench and my back was killing me the whole time. Are you guys really that heartless???

This has been my favorite bar in America for over 25 years. I hope to visit again this winter. Love love love this place. Burgers are to die for and you can be selective on your beverage. My mouth is watering for my next burger and coke.

Carryout. First time ordering their food. Ordered 2 fish fry. It was delicious! Crispy baked cod and potato pancakes, crunchy, tasty coleslaw, buttered rye. And plenty of tartar sauce! Bill was less than $20! Only drawback is they don't have their menu posted anywhere online. You can read it in the front window, or go inside. Definitely will be back!
