It was and always will be Johnny Mack's .Good place to get a few drinks. Brunch dinner late night pool. Good burgers nice people. The last of the park slope secrets.

Very good place for a drink. The food is awesome and fresh. Definitely a goodnight out with some friends.

Wifi sucks. Came in to have a bite and do a little work and lost an hour trying to download my mail. Employee admitted that it barely works. But that was after I ordered food. Food was good but bad experience overall.

Johnny Mack's has been there since before I moved to the Slope in 1996. It really hasn't changed much in terms of the menu, the food, or even some of the people. It has regulars at the bar. A big P.S. 107 contingent on Fridays for dinner. Ballgames on TV by the bar. Big corner windows open up in the warm weather with a tiny sidewalk dining area. Prices are reasonable. The apple and walnut salad with chicken is a go to for me. So is the burger, which is reliably good. Great fries and sweet potato fries. For dessert you have to have the chocolate mousse. Also reliably good. The beer is cold and there's Fat Tire on tap. There's a full service bar too, and friendly staff. It's the neighborhood joint every neighborhood needs for comfort food and a hangout spot with you neighborhood friends. So if you're in the neighborhood, stop on by.

Great bar and restaurant with timely service. Appetizers we ordered were hot and delicious. Beer was cold. Locals come here because it is real.

The good: the staff was kind and quick, taking time to bring me things before I had to ask for them. The food was tasty and came in large portions and there was a nice selection at the bar. The ambiance was great overall!The bad: Nothing significant honestly. The food might have been a bit greasy, but it’s a bar so I expect that when I order. The bathrooms could have used a little more attention than they had received. Lastly, the chair I had out on the patio was a kinda falling apart and could use replacing. Certainly nothing worth taking a star away for, more mentioned to let the management know. 👍The ugly: Nothing! Go have a drink and be happy.
