John Thomas remains the epitome of great beef and wine. Not only is this real prime beef, it's dry aged by a master butcher. The wine list is extensive and would easily stand up anywhere, with options from around the globe. World class, indeed.

I visited Auburge du Cochon Rough in 1983. At the time it was probably the best restaurant In Ithica. As I recall, it was pouring rain and i was the only customer. Just the chef, the waiter and me. I still remember it because I had a dinner that would rival anything in Paris.

No but it's an upscale dining establishment.

Alec is right. Smart casual. You will love it, but don't hold back. It's a place where you need to forget about the pocket book and enjoy the great food, friendly service, and good old Ithica country atmosphere!
