John Sparr Tavern

We sat at the bar. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive. We had a nice chat with Sean the bartender. He took good care of us, but it was our anniversary, he really didn't have much choice! We have been to John Sparr a few times now, and we will keep comming back because the food and drink is very good, the atmosthere is somewhere between hip and mature adult, which suits me, and the staff treated us like they knew us the first time we walked in, and they still do!

A cozy little place that is perfect to grab a drink at and hang out with friends after work.

Amazing food. Excellent craft cocktails, wine and beer. A small neighborhood place with patio seating. The only restaurant I know of that has acoustics allowing quiet conversation. The most relaxing restaurant in the area in which to spoil yourself.

Those burgers are outta this world! And the staff are all so nice and even fun! I loved watching people from the community greeting one another- and the owners! I do love that the owners come around and say hi!

John Sparr is a hidden gem in Glendale. Upscale comfort food - the menu has just enough variety without being complicated. I've tried a little bit of everything at John Sparr, and every meal I've has been nothing but enjoyable. A nice spot for a first date or an anniversary.; now that I mention it, I had a birthday dinner there not too long ago! Sometimes I'll go in just to eat at the bar (the cocktails are just as good as the food). Intimate, cozy, and throw in some outstanding service. Glad I found this place!

The owners set the atmosphere: warm and welcoming, the staff is charming and even more important, helpful and proficient, the food and cocktails are wonderful, the atmosphere is cozy, and the décor is high end in a low key way. What's not to like? It's not even in my neighborhood, but I wish it were!

My dinner was great I have the grilled pork chop it was a winner

Sit out in the patio if you have the opportunity (they have heaters, if necessary). Their potatoes au gratin are delicious. Creamed corn is the best I have had. They have great dinner-sized salads. My favorite dinner is the crab-stuffed sand dabs.

The food was great. Service was slow. The waiters didn't know who ordered which meals. Almost comical.

The customer service is consistently efficient, lovely vibes, nice employees. Will eat here again when I get nearby.

I enjoyed everything like always! The sea bass with roasted bell pepper mashed potatoes was excellent. The featued drink was perfect! The hot toddy was perfectly balanced. Thank you again!

We started with guacamole and chips and both were very good. I ordered the salmon and my husband had the ribs, which I think were a special. The salmon was excellent and my husband said the ribs were very good. They have a good selection of beer, wine, and cocktails.

Great place to have a few drinks. Small but cozy. Great service.
