Tip automatically added to my bill. I wasn't aware of this, and therefore gave them an inappropriately large tip. (a $7 tip on a $17 bill) I should have looked at my receipt closer (and this is my fault) but what if i got poor service, and felt that their amount was too large. Am i then supposed to have an awkward conversation with the waitress about changing that amount? Tips are at the discretion of the customer, and unless posted, I feel it is unfair to add that number to every bill. I am not a stingy tipper either. I really like their food and service, but the automatic adding to the bill may lose me as a customer.

It had been about 10 yrs since my last visit, and I would always tell people about Joe's Diner, and that they had the largest burger that I have ever seen. Today I was pleased to see that the Diner was open and was greeted by Lisa (server) and I was moved by the fact that she remembered me from 10 years ago. She is always friendly and eager to please. Things like this is why you want to come back, not to mention the good food.

Used to have the best pancakes ever but they have decided to change their batter and pancakes just aren't worth eating anymore. Also very limited hours and always closed on holidays.

We love eating at Joe's Shelby Street Diner! And where else can you go where the waitress learns your name, makes you a stocking for Christmas and has a tree of (free) gifts for the kids?! This place is amazing, the food is wonderful, prices are great and the service is on point!
