It's my second home in NYC! I've enjoyed pretty much everything on the menu and it's all outstanding. The staff and service are all top notch. You feel like family the second you walk through the door.

I and my wife had our anniversary date here and we absolutely loved our experience. The place was beautiful, with nice music entertainment. Food was tasty, fine drinks and sweets. Kitchen staff were great at attending to customers too! 5 stars for Joe Allen!

A classic (and classy) New York establishment that lives up to its promise of big portions and stiff drinks. Rare is the place where you see tourists and residents not resenting each other. And the service is well above average. Never a bad meal here...

Server was extremely short with us and impounded a mandatory 20% gratuity for a party of 5. Service for the pricing is way off, maybe the server was having a bad day because the restaurant was empty. Food was good but not at the prices they charge. I took 1 star off for the service and another for the pricing. My hats go out to the bartender who was awesome, Owen the coat checkers is the best, and the cooks rock.

Uncommonly, consistently delicious standard fare that has remained exceptionally good in the 30-plus years I've frequented the place. My favorite eatery in the city. Oh! My first husband waited on me there! And we're still friends! Just go!

God I love this place. PERFECT atmosphere. Only odd thing was some of their food combos — like their chicken dinner has no salad or veggie, just potatoes & nothing else. Other than that, I love it.

I would think so, but I'd do that at the bar only as a courtesy to those who may want a table for a full meal. It's a popular place!

Hi! The menu is available online. I know that saying they have "salads" is not the best option for vegans. I wish I could give a recommendation, but I don't know of one Look on the bright side...You're going to New York! You'll be able to find many wonderful vegan restaurants and when you find one you can share with the rest of us. Go to Joe Allen just for the atmosphere and have a ?cocktail. Enjoy your trip!

Don t do takeout, sit and enjoy the friendly staff and the ambiance. See if you can figure out what all the Broadway show posters have in common!

We tried to book a table 2 weeks ahead and were refused. But booked it 2 days in advance easily.

5:30 to 6:00 should get you there
