You wouldn't guess it from its appearance but this place has some of the best bar food in the south end. Cant go wrong with a burger or the fish and chips. If you come here for lunch order off the lunch the menu or you will fall asleep the portions are huge!

Food is very consistent here and drinks are pretty reasonable considering for Boston bar. This is very causal but not dirty divvy. Friendly staff. A must were their tater tots! If you want to get a seat and table on Thurs, Fridays and Saturdays, it's best to come before the crowds, so before 8pm is good

J.J. Foley's serves eggcellent eggs benedict (pun intended) in a warm and welcoming atmosphere! I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a sensationablly hardy meal n the Boston area that is priced at a reasonable rate.

Bar service was very friendly. I ordered a gin and tonic and it was made perfectly! For the food I ordered the three pepper chicken panini special and WOW! So good. The fries were great also! My husband ordered the Greek pizza and he really enjoyed it! I would definitely recommend this place, great food, drinks, and atmosphere.

A good local bar, fair decent beer range, good honest food in decent sized portions, very friendly staff. Catch sports on the screens, or take part in quiz night, it’s a good place to visit.

Great spot going back decades that gives you a real flavor of Boston bars. Staff is a no bull professional enterprise of bartenders who pour well and are on top of everything going on. Two different rooms to give you a choice of volume levels. And a great people watching and meeting spot. Music is solid too

Great tater tots...homemade and unexpected. Fish and chips were outstanding and huge portions

The woman that cashiers there is awesome absolute doll and the food is great, but there’s one guy whose on staff during the day time as well on thursdays that has an attitude and is so rude to customers . People like that don’t belong in working customer service it’s disgusting he gives the place a bad rep. He needs to be retrained dealing with customers is clearly not his thing . I’m a woman of color and the racism goes on every time he is working what a shame.
