Good historical location wonderful views of river..Old car show, it was very hot outside and the lady had gotten sick so they called the paramedics right away.

My wife and I took advantage of the beautiful weather today and enjoyed a very scenic motorcycle ride from Louisville to Frankfort. We stopped at Jim's Seafood to take in the gorgeous view of the river and the dam. Great location. We both had Alaska Whitefish. Excellent! The service was superior and the staff very welcoming.

I was on a long drive from Cincinnati to no where in particular. At about 8 I was starting to get hungry and Jim's was the first place I saw. Sceptical of seafood in Kentucky I checked Google and saw over 4 stars in the reviews, so I gave it a shot. It blew me away. The southern catfish is perfect, literally perfect. Nice and moist with a thin breading. The coleslaw was also great. The rice was good, but not as good as the other items. The staff was pleasant and the view on the river was great. I asked my waitress what she'd suggest if someone were to only eat here once. However, now that I have, I think I'll find an excuse to come back. To a restaurant a hundred miles from my house!

First time here at Jim's Seafood, had a really great lunch special white fish and 2 sides for I believe 8.99. Fish was great crispy on the outside and flaky on the inside. Theres a nice view of the river as well. Definitely a nice spot for lunch or dinner.

Bottom line- Shockingly good seafood for being completely landlocked. I had a bunch of southern style fried food. Pretty good. Others had scallops and the like and said they were excellent. Only funny thing was we went there at 3:30pm on Sunday and the place was completely empty but we had to wait 20 minutes to be seated. Hmmm...

I really enjoyed Jim's. I had a pick 3 with gulf shrimp, fried clams and southern fried catfish. My sides were coleslaw and broccoli. Every thing was excellent especially the catfish. The meal for my family of 3 came to 65 bucks which is typical of most sit down restaurants. I would definitely come back.

My fish sandwich was fantastic. Fish was prepared well, crispy and juicy. My husband liked his steak sandwich also. Portions were a good size. Clean restaurant, decent service.

Being raised on southern cuisine, I am always searching for the out of the way best hidden restaurants I can find. In looking for one this trip, I wanted catfish. This was simply the BEST!!!! Perfect seasoning with hush puppies and Cole slaw topping off with that great iced tea. This was one large piece of catfish and I can tell you, it was good enough we will make special trips just to return. If you want dessert, go for the key lime pie or peanut butter... The views hold that days gone by country as you look across the river while dining. Adding this to my line up of GO BACK TO'S .....Make the trip, it's well worth it!
