Jimmy's Chinese and Sushi Restaurant

Loved it! The sushi rolls are always on point! I got the fairytale and my hubby got the shrimp killer. Also the lobster and shrimp on the hibachi grill. I was expecting it to be fresh on the grill but they grill it which is still good just not what I was expecting.

Best sushi in town! Great menu, but Jimmy will make whatever you want that's not on the menu. He has a knack for sushi creation. If you're not into sushi, there is a tasty menu of Chinese and Thai entrees. Good selection of beers, wines, and sakis. Large sushi bar. Remodeled building, very clean and nice looking with large private dining room. Jimmy is a hospitable host and his staff are excellent servers. Friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Don't let the former business reputation discourage a visit to Jimmy's; you'll enjoy it!

The food is amazing!! Very fresh

I stopped in last week for some Mongolian beef. The sauce was good but the meat pieces were too large, too chewy, and too tough. The quantity on the plate was good but I would have really preferred a much better quality of beef.

As a Seattle area resident I would expect Anchorage to have better sushi due to its proximity to the ocean. The quality of the fish is good but not dramatically better. The prices are fair (everything is a little bit more $$ due to shipping costs etc). Spider and Spicy Tuna rolls will set you back $10. The Monster roll cost $14. The staff is friendly and the sushi chef does a very good job. The place looks clean. I downgrade it by one star due to its strip mall location next to an all you can eat Chinese place that doesn't look to good. Otherwise enjoy your visit.

Got a terriyaki bento box and the beef was tough. Chunked like stew. And the "coconut shrimp" came with coconut milk and was not a sauce. Very disappointed for the price paid. Very.

Been here twice now. Very nice portions for the lunch and dinner box. Well priced. All sushi prepared very well. Rice is cooked well. A surprising amount of options that are other than sushi for non sushi guys.

The Tuna Tataki bento box was delicious! Seared tuna with citrus sauce, small sushi roll, 4 pc tempura, and rice. Of course they served small salad and fresh miso soup too!

Was looking for a sushi place and ended up here. Surprisingly, this restaurant actually has very authentic Chinese food, which is impossible to recognize from its name. Try out their spicy dry pot!

The food was very good. We didn't get sushi, but Chinese food. They have a large variety of choices. We will definitely go back!
