Jibarito Time Chicago Style Plantain Sandwiches

Don’t waste your time Absolute trash. The cashier Lissette told me “you can wait or you can leave” when I asked for an ETA on the order that was taking over 20 minutes for a sandwich. Mind you, there was one other customer in the “restaurant” who was already eating. Trash service, trash kitchen. The food is absolutely not worth the price.

Jibarito time is amazingly good home cooking. Loved it so much! I will most definitely be visiting again soon.

Great food and next level service. For being a smaller dine in spot, they sure do everything they can to offer a full service experience. The staff is always happy and professional, and the food is always exceptional.I've been here many times over the years and I've yet to be dissatisfied or disappointed. So if you enjoy flavorful food, you need to check them out.

I'm sorry to say , but, worse jibarito I've ever tasted , not fresh at all !! ,jibarito microwaved it , lettuce was black barely one slice of tomatoe and I asked no onions and it was overload with it ... all this for $12.00 (no rice included ), not worth it, nothing like the restaurants from Chicago way way better.. never going back to this place !

A cute unique place, with delicious food and amazing service!! I love sandwiches, but have a gluten allergy...I'm so happy my friend introduced me to this place...can't wait to go back!!

The food is absolutely delicious. Had the crispy chicken breast sandwich combo on the plantain and my mouth could not stop watering. Customer service was excellent. The girl at the counter gave great recommendtions. Will definitely be back.

The Jibarito is one of my favorite foods. This joint delivered the goods! There's only one other place I go to for Jibaritos Cocina Boricua and now I have 2. Unfortunately t Jibarito Time is so far away from home I won't get to go as often as I would like. Cocina Boricua is traditional and I've been going here for 20 years. Jibaritos Time has the upper hand when it comes to variety! Many different flavors that seem quite good. The very first bite told me all I needed to taste to mark this place a winner! Highly recommended!

Really good food. My client is Puerto Rican and she said this is pretty authentic tasting. I have tried quiet a few of the Jibarito sandwiches and they have been all good. Absolutely love the maduro plantains!

I drive 45 minutes to get here! Worth it!! Service and food are top notch!!
