The foundation operates and hosts culinary events at this townhouse. There are picture of James Beard and Celebrity chefs from around the world. The kitchen is fully stocked with tremendous pots and cooking utensils and the outdoor patio is well lit with natural sunlight.

Went for a friend's (chef's) night, it was a truly spectacular experience. Hint, come a bit before the reservation time, and hang out upstairs - they send teams of servers with passed apps up and down, but the upstairs is empty and you can people watch. Expect people of all ages, races and "foodie" levels. Don't expect to leave hungry

Went for one of their special dinner events on Bastille day. The good food and drinks were amazing. The night was well planned with some champagne and hors d'oeuvre to welcome the evening. And it was all well priced. Would do again.

Had a wonderful dinner here, featuring Chef Pati, from Pati's Mexican Table. We had the chance to meet her, and enjoy a great meal with other engaged foodies. The dining room is on the second floor and has seating for about 30. Intimate and interesting - a very unique experience.

The James Beard House was so much more than I expected. It was an incredible place to visit with such positive energy, and memorable foods and wines. The staff was so very nice, very professional, and on their toes. I have served in many establishments & it was truly amazing to witness the timing, coordination, and grace that the staff displayed throughout each and every course. I do not give out 5 star ratings lightly, but the James Beard House more than deserves it. I had such a memorable experience that I can't wait to go back.
