Jamaican Jerk Villa

I use to support this place when they first open. The gave me dry 2 days old chicken and scorched/burnt rice and bean. I called and there was no apology which is so unprofessional. They are very rude. Regardless of supporting a small business you must be friendly. There is no use of phone orders because you still have to wait over an hour. Phone order mean I do not have time to wait. Like 5 or more people said the were not coming back.

This was my first time here. I literally tried a restaurant in my neighborhood. They do give you a healthy portion. I ordered two Jerk chicken dinners with an extra side of mac & cheese. Pros: big portions, chicken was spicy, beans & rice, cabbage were on point. Cons: mac & cheese only slightly better than box mac & cheese. Slow service, nothing extreme, but slow. Looks like it is closed and a hole in the wall.I will try them again. However, I will most likely call in my order ahead of time. I will try something else next time as well.

Best jerk chicken on the Southside!! I’ve been coming to this place for many years and they never disappoint. Yes the wait is long, but it’s worth it. The gravy on red beans and rice is delicious and the jerk sauce is amazing.

So much flavor. A little on the salt side though if you are watching your sodium intake. They are quite popular so you will wait about 20 minutes. When you call in you still wait sometimes. They have chairs to sit and eat but most of the patrons waiting are sitting in them or standing around so I think that would be uncomfortable. Definitely a carry out situation.

This place is the bomb food is great and always on point. very tender and juicy food all the time, have time when you go though because they prepare everything fresh when u come so might wait 20mins ,but trust me it's worth the wait . Ps if you use yo debt card or credit card they adl for your I'd. Totally worth it plus they are real Jamaicans cooking the food. Enjoy

They’re food quality has went completely down. I was so disappointed 😔 the chicken was burned, the beans in the rice were scorched, and the cabbage was huge and not cooked thoroughly so it was tough. I didn’t know until I got home that I wasted my money and I haven’t ate all day. I highly doubt if I come back because that was a waste. Smh good restaurants don’t last anymore

They cut BCK on the chicken, & too many burnt pieces. Their chicken is still the bomb, and they have the best sauce!

About the food—I order the curry chicken dinner with rice and cabbage. The rice is juicy and flavorful . The cabbage is seasoned well. The curry has a nice gravy and good blend of seasonings . Most places put too much ginger in. The only reason they getting four stars and not five is because the food is so good but the customer service is trash...and that’s honestly annoying because I want to support black owned businesses but they way they talk to people especially with the co-vid19 mess going on is out of pocket. The wait is also always long, and they never pick up the phone. Their hours of operation is a small window. They are always out of wings and catfish.

There's no reason why I should wait 30 mins for 1 plate of food. Food is so high in sodium, extremely high!!

Lost this authentic jamaican place very delicious,the season they use to marinated the chkn come alive in ur mouth..The rice and pea are so good with the gravy make you love them 4ever cabbage season to perfection over all great consistency of serving great food...
