so i have mixed reviews. i've had a few unsanitary conditions but they've had to clean that up with the health dept. i stopped going for a couple of years but tried again recently and it was so much better- in fact the food was better than my normal spot. go but keep the expectations down. it is a nyc staple afterall.

Village version of the original in Jackson Heights. Solid.

Best Indian food I've had in recent memory. Good sweet lassi. At first I was slight disappointed that there was no naan on the buffet, but the second I sat down a server brought a fresh basket of naan to my table. the sag paneer was so fresh and delicious. In the end the only problem was that I got full too fast. I would have liked to eat twice as much. It was so good!

Pretty good lunch with lots of choice and eat-as-much-as-you-can. Price is IMHO a bit expensive for lunch, but nevertheless relatively good value.

Good food, and can be a really good value. The food is tasty and well prepared. Not just swimming in heavy sauces, or pools of oil. Vegetarian and meat eaters alike will find lots of options with the required chutney sides. The best time to go, and if you've never been here before, is for the lunch buffet. $11 for al you can eat, with lots of vegetable, bean and some chicken options for mixing. No reason to settle for 6th street's restaurant row when Jackson Dines is a 10 minute walk away.

Been here only a few times and although its truly "diner" atmosphere I've never had a bad meal here. 3pm is very quiet if you're trying to read the paper or work on your tablet undisturbed. Great yogurt drink.

Updating my review after an even better meal than the first. Jackson Dinner is delicious. Curries have some zing but aren't overly spicy. Vegetarian options are plentiful and tasty. Tikka masala and standard lamb curry (what would be called rogan josh elsewhere) are spot-on. Service is friendly and take-out is prompt. Glad to have Jackson Heights' finest brought to Manhattan. A great little neighborhood spot for take-out or a mellow weeknight dinner.

The best naan, lamb curry and basmati rice you've ever had! Go to the Queens location for their lunch buffet! The tandoori chicken is always perfect!
