Izakaya Yamaji

We first came here some years ago and it was very much aimed at the Japanese clientele with very little English explanation on the menu. I think now it is aimed more at English speaking customers and although the food is very good (salmon and tuna very fresh) I felt it was less authentic. The decor is basic but that’s fine. I believe it changed ownership a while ago so maybe that is why it’s become a bit more mainstream. Would definitely return another time.

Best fish in london, hands down. Been coming here for 10 years and i adore it. The Toro is exceptional as is the batters sushi roll. Staff and owners are amazing. I just love it.

@kirakulondonWent to this place now three times.Always good to eat traditional Japanese food.Staff and the atmosphere are really good too.You have to book in advance if you want to be sure to have a table especially on a Friday night when there is lots of groups coming to the restaurant.
