Izakaya Maki

My wife has not been able to go to the pub for many years and has a small child so I thought for a short time.My wife and children were very pleased with the variety of hospitality.The food was also delicious. I wanted to try all the menu if I had time!I would like to come back if I have the opportunity to go to Matsushima.Thank you very much.

Maki san is a lovely host and made my husband and I feel very welcome with her friendly smile, cold drinks and lots of tasty bar snacks hot from the grill or deep fryer. Her secret recipe of deep fried chicken is so tender and succulent!!! The friendly and funny patrons were great company, even though only one of them spoke English and we didn't speak Japanese. After our long journey around the region, we couldn't have had a better final night in Tohoku than with this small group of kind strangers in the bar and the karaoke machine. Maki gives her bar its life and spirit, while you can try drinks like sweet potato liquor and sesame liquor in the traditional Japanese style, and eat plate after plate of delicious goodies. Then, get ready to sing!
