Awesome delicious food, won't get that braised tuna cheek anywhere else! Sashimi and all the rest was amazing. Would definitely recommend not just for the food but for the man himself! One of a kind character, pours his heart into what he does. Seriously good stuff!

So glad to finally make it here after watching this featured on Netflix last year. The food and “show” definitely did not disappoint, getting to watch Mr Toyo himself grill the tuna cheeks with his bare hands! We tried everything on the menu, definitely recommend the Ootoro and crab!

Here for the Netflix experience. Be there early like before 5pm. Food is decent. The sideshow is the owner using the blow torch to cook the tuna cheeks. That’s about it. Staff is friendly and the food arrives fast. Nothing really special. Unlikely to go back. It’s a one time experience kind of thing.

Best street food I have had in Osaka. The experience is not just the food but the show that Toyo gives as well, watching him cook is an art and he puts on a show for the people. You also get to enjoy the food which is cooked beautifully and worth what you pay for it.Be there early as there is always a big queue.

One of must go place in Osaka!! The price is very reasonable and food are fresh. Please go there early as much you can. Best time to go there should during weekday just open.

This is a must go and eat place!!! Get in line early. Staff was very welcoming even with our group of seven. Owner put on a show cooking the food over an open fire and also using his gas torch to cook the food. Very entertaining, he enjoys what he is doing and willing to take pictures with the patrons. Life is good.

Amazing street food! Wow I am so glad I found this place! Toyo is an amazing chef and an even better person! He is so talented and personable as well. I really liked all the eel that was prepared. The beer is self serve, just grab it from a cooler! Prepare to stand and share a table with strangers and make some new friends!

See it on the docu, If course, and had to check it out. The tuna is really good, and the owner live hamming for the camera.In no way a cheap meal, but worth splurging on top-end tuna and beer and fun. Just don't expect any vegetables.

Best experience of street food i ever had in Osaka, with warm welcome & great service from staff and owner. I highly recommended this place for you guys.

This was the highlight of our foodie trip to Japan. Grilled eel was so soft and flavourful and the best dish was the flame torched tuna cheeks! The master himself behind the grill (and flame torch) is so happy doing what he does, it shows through the food. Totally worth it!

What a pleasant Toyo-San he is. Showing big smile to us and even bigger when we asked for photo session. Food is unarguably finger licking. Price is cheap. No sitting here, we did our food all standing. What an experience

Taste pretty good. Both times when I’ve gone, the seared tuna cheeks were unavailable. The usual sauce in the mixed seafood bowl is very tasty. If you get there before 6 PM on a weekday, the weight will be just about 20 minutes. The first time I got there, after 6 pm, I waited 50 minutes in line.

The lean tuna rolls were amazing and worth the wait. It was a fun experience and I enjoyed all the food. Some people around us were disappointed that the tuna cheek was sold out by the time they got there but the other food on the menu is also amazing and worth trying. Toyo has a gift for picking quality ingredients and making great simple food. Wishing Toyo a well deserved break while he is closed overed the new year holiday period.

Been here last year. It’s really good. Unfortunately, it is closed today till 7 Jan 2020 due to holiday season.

Great show. Above Average food, would only go back to show friends the show. Great owner, very good. Can find higher quality food in Osaka.
