Best southern food in Raleigh! Chicken n waffle sandwich, mac n cheese, loaded tots....its all delicious! Highly recommend!

Second time here and have had the same experience both times with the same cashier. The food is amazing but the customer service is horrible! I love the fact that the food reminds me of the Tennessee hot culture but with the rude attitude of the cashier, it makes you not want to come back.

It’s unfortunate Iyla’s is tucked back in the corner, or maybe not as this is quite the hidden gem. Had the BBQ Sundae, which was pulled pork and greens over top of homemade Mac & Cheese. YUM!!!

Shrimp burger was delicious!

This place served me a raw chicken breast covered in bread crumbs, ranch and pickles and called it a southern fried chicken sandwich. I do not recommend this place.

Wow! My husband and I tried Iyla’s Southern Kitchen for the first time while we were in Raleigh... the shrimp and grits looked amazing, and I sure wasn’t disappointed! They weren’t shy on the shrimp either! My husband got the chicken and waffles (with pimento cheese!!) and it was so big he almost couldn’t finish it! If you’re looking for a truely amazing southern meal, I highly suggest trying Iyla’s! The staff was amazing and the gentleman that owned the restaurant was there cooking as well. You could see the passion he has for the food he creates and you can taste the love in his food!

Iyla’s Southern Kitchen is the best!!!!!! Their Ricky Melt is to die for! Amazing service and food every time we go!!! It’s a must try in Morgan Street Food Hall!

Their shrimp burger was TO DIE FOR. Absolutely loaded / overflowing with shrimp. Fresh potato bun, yummy slaw . . . can't wait to go back for more! Definitely try the tater tots too (yes, I was craving fried food!). Friendly, cheerful and very helpful cashier. Give them a try, and then roll over to Raleigh Rolls for dessert if you still have room for more!

Went here on a Saturday night. The food hall was packed with people. This place was busy and there was a little bit of a wait to order and then get food. The service was friendly and professional. I ordered the hot chicken and mac & cheese. It was ok but nothing special. The mac & cheese was very plain and chicken was a breaded chicken breast with hot sauce on it.

Great hot chicken sandwich. Not as spicy as Beasley’s Reaper chicken, but consequently a bit easier to eat!

The staff are great! I am a vegetarian and I had the grilled cheese with pimento and fried green tomatoes and sweet tea to drink! Definitely coming back 😋

Very good food. I got the Shrimp and grits and was impressed. The shrimp was plentiful and very tender. The grits pretty creamy and the sauce had nice soft Cajun heat. The only thing I didn't care for were the onions in it. A bit to stiff for this dish. My wife got the Ricky Melt (grilled pimento cheese sandwich). The toast was done perfectly and the cheese was smooth and very melty. Also the tater tots were perfection. Mmmmm
