Amazing quality beef! Perhaps the finest steak I've had in my life and I'm from Texas.

Fabulous Wagyu beef! Decor was 100% Gion.

Ate there with a collegue for lunch. Location is great, view on the canal is beautiful. Staff was very welcoming and helpful, the waitress was there when we needed her, and away when we didn't need her, not pushy at all, letting us feel very confortable ... very professional service. Food was great, A5 beef delicious. Served fast enough. I loved everything about this meal. On the minus side, I would have appreciated my meat a little hotter (my friend didn't mind), and I don't think the pasta dish was necessary (my italian friend agreed, although she found the pasta al dente cooking surprisingly well done) bur overall it was a great experience and I would recommend this place.

Great experience, friendly staff, excellent 100g Wagyu dinner set. I really enjoyed all of the flavors of each course starting with Snapper Tiradito, then Porcini Mushroom Soup, Fresh Oyster Tempura, Local Green Salad Giner Dressing, Salmon and Tomato Cappellini, Grilled Sea Bass Amazu Ponzu. Then the main dish Wagyu Wasabi Pepper & Anticucho, which was amazing. Finished off with Chocolate Souffle and Vanilla Ice Cream along with Coffee. I walked in about 7pm on a Friday and it was no problem seating me.

I was initially hesitant because of the price but the whole experience was amazing. The food was incredible, not just the Kobe beef we ordered, but all the dishes in the set menu. Chefs and waiters were all very friendly to us and even spoke English. Would definitely recommend and will go back if we return to Kyoto.

Foreigner friendly. Made reservations thru Open Table app and got a seat by the canal. Great view. Great food. We got the recommended course (6 course meal). The wagyu beef dish was amazing! Every dish was wonderful. Good sake too.

Kobe beef is excellent. Everything else isn’t worth it. Stick to Kobe and Rice.

Very bad experience. The wine is completely dead and they refused to change or refund. There is no service at all. No one even pour water. The food is terrible. Completely disaster new year evening!!!

Amazing experience and one of best meals I have ever had. Great ambience at kitchen bar. Good service and amazing food from the Aburi Salmon and Potato Soup, through corn tempura, tomato and mushroom salad through the delicious snow crab Capellini, the Grilled Sea Bass to the main course of Beef with Wasabe Sauce and Anticucho. Not forgetting the Tarte Tatin!

Second time back here and the Kobe beef is just as excellent as I remembered. Enjoy the nice view of ducks in a canel and trees in the background while you dine. Booking advised. Service is not the friendliest but it is fast and efficient.

I ordered the Kobe dinner set course and when asked for doneness, I said "chef's recommendation". So I went thru the course and finally got to the Kobe beef, it was cooked medium-well! I expected it to be rare/medium rare like the people beside me and I saw their look of disgust when I got a brown cooked Kobe beef. I was just surprised when the beef was presented to me came back brown and chewy. Such a waste for my first Kobe experience! Insert *sad face and sad wallet*

We came to this restaurant to eat kobe meat and were not disappointed. We had a private room updtairs (we were 7 people) and had a really nice dinner, not only the meat was awesome, but also all other dishes in the menu were great. The restaurant is quite expensive (125 euro per person) but is really worth the money

OMG!! Steaks, drink, every thing here is beyond amazing ! Now that I see this resturant to review, I wish I could travel thoussnds miles to try their food again ! Steaks melt in your mouth !! I can say half of my tour went there the day after I went there based on my recommendation, and even the pickiest ones absolutely loved it here ! If you love steak, here is your heaven !!

Although the quality of the food is extraordinary I still think it is really over priced. Portions are tiny tiny.
