Had a wonderful lunch with a friend today. The overall experience was excellent. Food quality, atmosphere and service was all 5 stars. Really enjoyed having lunch at such a great and historic Italian restaurant. This is a Chicago must stop during your next visit.

One of 3 restaurants in this building . This one is up a long flight of stairs. No elevators. Great ambience. Several little niches for cozy dining. I gave it 3 stars for it's pizza. Toppings delicious but the crust was like crackers . Price was average . I looked around and there were some yummy looking entrees. Service was good . We ordered the pizza as soon as we sat down because menu said it was a 30 min. Wait , but it was delivered to our table in less than 30. Bathrooms up stairs in restaurant. Clean .

The Gage has fantastic food and always has an upbeat atmosphere. Service is top notch... some of the best trained staff at any restaurant I've been to in Chicago.

One of the best Italian restaurants I have ever had the privilege to eat at. The service this restaurant was out of this world because everyone checked up on you. I went there two times and both times were amazing. The ravioli tasted superb and the sauce tasted so divine and homemade. Even the pizza was amazing and the sauce there was phenomenal. I would always recommend this place to everyone I know.

Customer service was great, they constantly come check on you. But I highly do not recommend the chicken fettuccine Alfredo. It was very dry, barely any seasoning, I had to ask for a cup of Alfredo sauce on the side and it was still dry. I asked for chicken noodle soup and they gave me chicken broth.

Italian Village is very popular and a little over-hyped. There is definitely better Italian in Chicago. But with a great location, great entrees, and an extensive menu, it's clear to see why it's so popular. The chicken linguine was very good and creamy. The seafood ravioli was amazing and they were generous on scallops. What really shocked me were the sandwiches. They were massive and very good. The only disappointment was the Rum Cake, which was a little dry. We even had great service during lunch.

Really enjoyed our dinner at Italian Village. We ate upstairs at the Village. We had a reservation and was seated right away. The staff was fast, friendly and efficient. The food came quick and was great. I highly recommend this location if you are heading to the theater. Thoroughly enjoyed dinner in the LaCantina restaurant! Food was delicious and portions were great! In the theater district.

Not a GOOD Experience..... Staff was good. The Manager was not accommodating. We ordered our steaks as Medium Rare and they came back Rare. Ordered Filon Mignon and they brought our a rib eye. They serve the meal with no side orders. Stuck eating a 16 oz steak on its own. Would to recommend

It's a much overrated restaurant I have ever been, I had a lot of expectations with the pizza that I ordered being "Italian place", but the one that came tasted like someone amature made that pizza, as the pizza base was not at all fermented and was getting harder and harder with the last bite of pizza. Though ambience and service was good. Not a recommended place.

A little noisy, but the food and excellent customer service made up for it. Very short wait for a Saturday evening. We ate in The Village, and had Scott for our waiter. He was superb! Location was only a short walk from our hotel. Two thumbs up, Italian Village!

Fantastic Italian place in the heart of downtown Chicago. It is worth waiting for if you do not have a reservation. The staff was friendly and the ambience and cozy atmosphere make it the perfect place for a romantic evening out. The only downside was the consistency between the dishes. We ordered two dishes of lasagna at my table and both of them were completely different in appearance and construction. However, I would visit again.

Great food and service. Fun atmosphere for an afternoon or evening date or business meeting. Tables are packed tightly, but many are in little private alcoves to make the experience less obtrusive and more discreet. Great chicken parmesan and other items on the menu.
