Best sushi in the area with an ultra polite staff and very fair pricing.The restaurant itself is small and isn't somewhere i'd bring a date - but it's obvious they focus more on their food and I would never get delivery from anywhere else. I have ordered from Istana for a few years now a couple times a month. I'm never disappointed. Delicious Chinese and terrific Sushi. Delivery is FAST! Surprisingly fast! Prices are fair and the product is always fresh. The owner is terrific - she actually knows my voice when I call. Thanks for taking all my last minute orders.

First time we ordered from Istana and will definitely order again. The Chinese food we had was delicious and service very good. Will try the sushi next time as it is one of our favorites. Will forget all those less than desirable take-outs in Jersey City - most of them horrible and cannot compare to the quality of Istana.

The nicest and hardest working owner Sonia knows everyone in the neighborhood and will never forget your order. Istana has a fantastic chef who will customize according to your taste and makes everything fresh to order. It is the best sushi in Hoboken whether for delivery, takeout, or eating in.

Ordered a lunch special one Friday afternoon. Their lunch specials come with a soup, so for $6, I got the beef chow fun and a hot and sour soup. It's a pretty great deal, especially since they give you a pretty big portion of food. My only real complaint was that I placed an order for pickup at 11:20 and it wasn't ready until 12. I used the Yelp Eat24 app. About 15 minutes after I placed the order, they called me and asked if it was a real order. I confirmed it was and they told me it would be ready in 10 minutes. I showed up 15 minutes later and still had to wait 10 minutes. I would expect this amount of time for a delivery order, not pickup.Bottom line - if you want to get a bang for your buck, and you don't mind a wait, Istana may be a good option. It isn't the best Chinese takeout, but it'll do.

My go-to spot for sushi take-out. They have nice quality fish at a very affordable price. I frequent Istana almost weekly, and Sonia the owner is always pleasant.
