Service was OUTSTANDING, as was the food! We felt very welcome here during our first trip to Philly. They were so accommodating and kind, that I wouldn't hesitate to recommended this to anyone looking to dine out on some Indian cuisine.

Best Indian Food In Philly. A must visit place if you want great food at a good price! Try to the chicken tikka masala! Good place also for veg food.

Went there for a lunch buffet with my friends. After trying few places, I can say this is the best Indian restaurant in Philly. Buffet items are limited, but there is a good combination of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. Food is not dry. Great quality, taste and service. Friendly staff. Amazing ambience..!! Can’t miss to mention about their vast cocktail collection. Had a lovely time. Would definitely come back.

I enjoy good food. The atmosphere is really nice and the establishment is clean which is extremely important. I arrived at 12pm which can be busy. I also went 15minutes early before the rush which for me was nice. I encourage you to try you won't be disappointed

Great experience at Thanal. Wanted to go check it out because the hype was pretty high with lots of good reviews.The staff were fantastic, food came out fast, hot and delicious! We will be back for sure.

The best Indian food experience I have ever had! Love the food here! Fantastic spices and very good at dialing in the “hot” effect of a meal. The chicken masala is delicious! The owners and staff are very warm and friendly. I great find!

Amazing food and drinks. Mohan treated us amazingly so the hospitality was top notch just like everything else. Definitely coming back.

I feel it’s always a challenge to find an Indian restaurant that has a great bar & this place knocked it out of the park! The drinks they serve up were extremely creative and went really well with the dishes. They also have this amazing happy hour on their signature cocktails that is buy one - get one free, and you can mix and match! Overall the food was amazing, the restaurant was clean and hip, and the service was great! Will visit again!

The wait was much for the food we got. We were told the wait time is 20 min, but it took good 40 min to get a table for 5. There is no waiting area on top of it and we were in between all the walking guests. Speaking about food, it wasnt great, maybe cos we were few of the last guests and the kitchen was about to close. The good thing is our waiter (guess he was the owner too) was friendly and gave us heads up on prep time. Long story short, might not go there for good food.

This place rocks. The food is amazing and so are the people. I went here alone and made a few new friends, the staff was also welcoming and engaging. Good cocktails and great happy hour specials. Definitely stop by this cozy Indian food place and youll fell at home.

Lunch buffet was excellent, authentic taste. But $15 for lunch buffet is bit too much, so I took away 1 star from 5 which I originally intended to give. Place is relatively small as compared with other restaurants, so it gets filled up quickly. Understand they take reservations for lunch. I recommend they should not take reservations for lunch and make it first come first served.

I love visiting here. The staff was friendly and sociable. Prices that are reasonable.
