Impasto

I've been to Impasto multiple times and each time the service was amazing, the food is impeccable, and the restaurant has a great atmosphere. Their Wine List is big and the staff are great at recommending wines for what you plan on ordering.

I'm Italian and I love this place. That's all I should have to say. The gnocchi are little pillows of happiness. A stand out was also the spaghettoni with rapini pesto. Open kitchen concept and wonderful staff too off the experience.

this place has never disappointed. it can be hard to get a table spur of the moment so plan ahead and reserve. everything is delicious. some of the options appear simple but are done remarkably well. the menu is always interesting and fresh. my husband doesn't like dessert and can't stop raving about the ricotta doughnuts. an absolute little italy must!

Amazingly good Italian food!!! And amazing service. The recommendations of the waiter were completely on point. And the mafalda with rabbit, and the semifredo were to die for! :))

Very good Italian food, there is a touch of sophistication that makes this place different than most of the othe Italian restaurants. Portions are a bit small.

I've been wanting to try Impasto for ages, and having been once for MTLà la table, I don't think my interest was peaked enough to return. The three-course menu was varied enough, but the offerings did not, in my opinion, match the 43$ price tag. The appetizers were all good. My zuppa was the standout of the four of us with a variety of flavours and textures, while the presentation of the charcutterie was lacking. The main dishes consisted of four pasta-based dishes, which were all too small, though the pasta was cooked beautifully, and two meat dishes at an addition $10. The beignets for dessert were delicious, while the yogurt was a bit of a miss. At the 33$ price I think I would've been more impressed with the meal, but there are other more impressive restaurants at that price point for MTL à la table. The wine menu was extensive, the beers were good and service was efficient and warm.

Best authentic Italian cuisine place in Montréal. It feels like the kind of food you would eat in an Italian family with an extra care to the details. The chef will experiment months to get the perfect result. The food is really well done and the attention that goes into the ingredients can be tasted. The service is extremely professional without being impersonal. The private imported wine selection is exceptionally well chosen and the recommendations are always spot on. If you have the chance to go to their special evenings with wine producers, you won't regret it. That place became my favorite spot in Montreal.

Pricey for what you get, if the food was spectacular then it might be alright. But leaving hungry is never a good thing.
