Il Pesce

I've been to Italy's in Europe and was expecting a decent meal but Il Pesce actually exceeded my expectations. There were razor clams on the specials menus which I love so ordered them along with a Bronzino. Firstly the razor clams were superb, I haven't had these cooked so well since a long time ago in Hong Kong. The portion was generous and everything about them was oh so tasty. My pan fried Branzino was also outstanding. I have not had whole fish cooked so well. It was stuffed with lemon and herb but the skin was well salted and crispy but the flesh still moist. I am dreaming of this fish still. We also ordered some oysters which were very tiny which I have found is normal in the US so skip those as they are also expensive. We also ordered a Skate which was not the best but I can overlook these for the excellent first 2 dishes!

I am in love with this place since the first time I was here in 2007. Staff are polite - real gentlemen ! And environment send you right on to old Italy. A tip - ask for Perone Beer! It's simply delicious and in the right temperature yo.male you feel happy. Juliani is the waiter who always receives me - a very polite guy from Albania who always knows how yo pleasure you pointing the great choices of the day. Coming here makes me feel family ! Come in! This is a great place to celebrate life ! Fresh fish, great flavors , fair portions - all about Italy....and the wines? Come and see yourself !

Great pasta! Definitely get the mozzarella appetizer. Also their bread is amazing !

Our family group of 6 adults had lunch here. We were accommodated rather quickly even though we did not have a reservation. Everybody had something different, and everybody said that their dish was very good. In my own case I do not eat cheese. I discussed my options with the waiter and he mentioned a couple of dishes that the chef could make without cheese. I had the Tagliatelle and it was excellent. We ended up spending quite a bit of time talking to each other and the staff made no effort to turn the table. Realizing that it is a bit pricey, I still recommend the restaurant highly.

Eataly, Eataly, Eataly.... you never disappoint. If you are a seafood fan, get to Il Pesce as soon as possible. It's that good.Check out the specials on the chalk board right atop the window to the kitchen. Sometimes servers speak quickly or don't hit on everything. We were lucky to sit close enough to that window that we had a great view of the chalkboard and ordered off of it. We started with a classic italian piadina with soft shelled crab. Enough said. SO good, and very sizable. Substantial even when split. A special crudo was next - this place is exceptional with raw fish, so definitely indulge if you feel inclined. The branzino is a classic. So good, although the bones were troublesome (that's the nature of eating branzino). I also recommend having a glass or two of the La Mozza Sangiovese. The combination of great food and wine was nothing short of amazing.You can find me here frequently!

Outstanding food quality and friendliness from the staff.We were accommodated quickly and taken care of carefully!

Seating is first come first serve which is somewhat inconvenient. But once seated the waitress was very attentive. Food/value is great. We had beets and salad (at $6 each), plus, trenette (basil pesto) and spicy pasta (don’t remember the name but it’s from the south category). Will definitely go back!

I grow up eating seafood and one of my favorite is grilled octopus. In Manhattan, it is hard to find restaurant that makes grilledOctopus to perfection! Well, il Pesce inside Eataly in Flatiron district is the place to have it. They make the best one in town. It can be crowded and noisy but then again, what do you expect for a marketplace type of dining experience. It’s vibrant and fun place to dine. It’s pricey but worth it. Presentation of their dishes looks so appetizing. Service was fairly decent but definitely the food is exquisite! The sea bass was amazing as well. I couldtaste all the natural ingredients.What I like about dining at this place? You can shop gourmet food from it’s neighboring stores. Theres gelato and chocolatier in the same area. Definitely a place worth dining again. Happy Eating and be well! ♥️

Good food but small portions for the price

Beautiful indoor market. Great food - cheese, fish, bread, vegetables, coffee, icecream and more. The flatiron district is amazing.
