Truly enjoyed the food and service! I've been looking for a good Italian restaurant in this area and I believe that I've found it! They could improve on their wine selection but the total eating experience is worth the price! Having a close parking facility is a plus.

I've been here about 5 times (and ordered on doordash just as much). Food is always delicious! Service is hit or miss- when it's good, it's amazing, when it's bad, we're ignored and orders forgotten. Drinks aren't anything special. Price is decent for the value. It's a nice restaurant, great location- right next to capital with beautiful high ceilings.

Went here for birthday celebration and was treated to excellent cocktails, delicious carpaccio and an incredible grilled salmon. Substituted cauliflower for potatoes to keep the carbs off. Awesome dinner!

Amazing dinner!! Beautifully decorated for the holidays but also a clean and elegant restaurant all year long. Hope to return to Sacramento and enjoy dining here again soon!! It's a must and their seasonal specials are exquisite!! Just to note... parking garage validation offered which is great!

Three of us went for lunch, the service from the beginning was attentive, a beautiful space with high ceilings and wonderful light. It was an impressive space, elegant and worldly. Our dishes and drinks were all classic and more than we expected, I’ll Fornaio remains a favorite restaurant that we look forward to enjoying another meal.

Had one of their shrimp paste (forgot the name). The paste is fresh but a little too el dente for me. The shrimp was fresh. It's overall a great pasta. I also order a tiramisu, and the portion is huge... I think it's meant to be a shared dessert (it's $12 so should have known that). The tiramisu is delicious. Not too sweet and perfect texture. -1 for service because I left half of my tiramisu out for so long... And they bagged my friends pasta and never offered to box mine. They also brought us bread but no plates and no Oliver oil with vinegar until we asked. It's a good Italian restaurant but not like over the top good. They validated parking but depends on how long you stayed. I think they did for 2 hours?

The dining room is spacious and beautiful and the staff is well-trained, for the most part. Sadly, the food is just average including their regional specials. We had booked a private dining room and had to wait almost 15 minutes while the hostess continued to answer the phones instead of seating our party. It would have been nice if the customers in front of them took priority over the customers calling. For what amounted to an average meal it seemed expensive. I probably wouldn't go back.

There were 4 of us for a business dinner. This was our 3rd time eating here. 3 of us ended up extremely ill! We all had something different, but 3 out of 4 got so violently ill. When I called and addressed the Manager, Walter he IMMEDIATLEY stated, we just had our inspection and everything was good. There is no cross contamination and said, well you all must have a flu virus. WHAT?? He would not let me get a word in edgewise. I wanted to explain that my seafood pasta was caked in oil. Walter continued to cut me off and deflect. I said, whatever and we hung up. I have never been treated this way and for my co worker, Manager and I to get so ill, Walter needed to take this situation more seriously!

It is the easiest place to go to dinner I just love it. Wait staff is wonderful, food is always good, parking is easy, what's not to love?.
