OK, I know Ikea is more like an experience than a store. So, just going there to buy one item is much harder than it should be. And, though the prices are decent, putting Ikea furniture together is WAY harder than it needs to be. Still not sure what the hoopla is all about.

The Disneyland of home decor shopping. So many ideas in this place. I mean you will spend hours in this place. Love it.

Good prices, clean store. Average to fair tasting food at restaurant, but convenient for shopping. Easy check out.

The furniture selection is great, the restaurant is delicious as well. Nearly all its products are environmentally friendly and the staff are very kind. I would definitely go again!

We used the click and collect feature. It takes a lot of patience checking back and forth to make sure the order can be placed since they have a maximum order per day that they can accommodate. When I finally got the chance to place my orders I got an email confirmation that it will be picked up the following day. I waited for the second email that states its ready for pick up. The process was smooth and organized. Even the cars are socially distanced. You don't have to leave your vehicle just make sure the space is ready and they load it for you. Staff are courteous and nice. Thank you Ikea family and stay safe!

When you walk in the front door, go up the escalator to the restaurant or the Showroom Entrance. I first had the meatball dinner. Very delicious. The went into the Showroom. I especially liked the 650 sg ft 2 bedroom apartment display. There is also a 600 sf 1 bedroom model. It's amazing that you can have a living, kitchen, dining, full bath and 2 bedrooms in such a small space. Goes to show you how much larger everything is in America and how other culture's use less space. Go there with a friend. Have a meal and an eye opening experience.

After calling customer service multiple times, we were finally connected. Someone picked up and then must have set the phone down because no one answered us when we asked if someone was there. We stayed on the line for 20 minutes, during which we could hear someone moving around, a child crying/making noises, doors shutting, and at one point, whistling??? Our constant requests that the person on the other end do their job and assist us went ignored or unheard. 0/5 stars. Seems like someone is “working from home” by being paid to literally do nothing.

This location was my first ever experience with IKEA and I'm in love! We've been back several times now for furniture for our new place and we love the pieces we decided to get. Building them is part of the fun! :DThe staged rooms / micro-apartments are beautiful and inspire lots of wishful daydreaming. I really like the cafeteria food (try the Swedish meatballs!) and one of these days I want to try the hot dogs after checkout too.Besides one checkout employee who was rude and impatient with my dad, everyone else we've dealt with has been very polite and helpful.I absolutely recommend IKEA Norfolk and can't wait to go back!

Ikea has always been the go-to place for an incredible array of furnishings and housewares, but then there are the meatballs.... always amazing!

I’m that guy who really loves tiny homes. Coming here you can expect to see plenty of really great layouts and examples of how to layout spaces. All of it is wonderful. Along with that there are great Swedish meatballs and all sorts of other things you can eat for a ridiculously great price. The layout can be a bit hard to get used to though. Definitely still worth the trip regardless. Also, a great place to get your steps in.

I have to say I absolutely love IKEA! It is like going into an amusement park for me. The way they have everything organized and the different rooms set up to give you ideas of how their products function in a small space is brilliant. It’s a snapshot of functional living in each room that they set up. Their products are high-quality and intelligent with multi use functions which I think is very important when you’re looking for Products that would fit in a small space. Their bedding is very good quality and soft. And they have a great variety of colors and patterns.

300000 square foot building of everything you ever needed for the home! Very nice quality with the products they offer! Love to see one in Western North Carolina!

A lot of people specifically come here to eat. Best hotdog i ever had. But the cinnamon bun gets a half star from me. If you have even the slightest interest in touring a furniture/interior store, IKEA is a must do. Everything for your home interior. Plenty of items here that you won't find elsewhere. I recommend paying close attention to furniture structural design, as i seriously doubted the durability of some of the items i saw. I would have bought one futon in particular if we weren't about to move. I really liked one of their solid wood dining tables. I definitely will return to IKEA

Only IKEA I’ve been to. It seems a little run down and it’s always busy, but it’s IKEA so the latter is a given. They usually have everything in stock but obviously the sale items can go quick. Getting food is a little confusing for people it seemed. No one knew how to follow the line.

Questions & Answers

I tried asking to be transferred to the store the other day and was told that they couldn't do that and they could not call from their end either. I had a question about returning something and the guy didn't have an answer for me.

Don't bother calling the number either, noone there is helpful. They are all very kind and kind enough to tell you they will call you back ... Don't hold your breath.

No I needed one also not enough for the size of the store I enjoy all things they had to offer but 6 motorized carts aren't enough for as many older and handicap ppl that would visit I had a rough time trying to get around and see all that they had to offer my legs couldn't take all the walking and I was frustrated from having to stop and rest it's a very nice and very big store just not convenient for handicap and elderly. But I enjoyed the purchases I did make. Enjoy

The Norfolk, VA Idea is accepting applications right now at the following website: https://seeacareerwithus.com/

They were probably just busy and understaffed, it's not a problem with the store, just the timing.

There are plenty of handicap accessible parking spaces and large elevators. Have personally seen several other shoppers in wheelchairs but some of the aisles may be a little tight, especially during the stores busier hours

You might need to contact the customer service line.
