I like noodles and this place has noodles. You want Chinese Korean food then come here. It’s pricey compared to queens but we in the city and it’s city money so. But the food is okay for what it is. You want a review, it’s a 3 star place that offers food. If you want or need food you go get it. Noodles and the fried beef with sweet sauce. Chinese Korean food. Food came hot and well prepared. No dirty bowls and the eating place was well set up. 6:10:1

Casual place, stopped in to take advantage of the beer and fried chicken special but got upsold to the fried chicken and garlic pepper sauce with a bottle of soju for $23. Very good recommendation I would say. Topped off with the noodles with brown sauce as their specialty and it was an economically satisfying night.

Delicious Korean noodles~ portion is big too. Love both the spicy seafood noodles and the mix noodles. Spicy noodles are not too spicy.

For a birthday party my friends and I (14 people) decided to eat jjajjangmyeon here. It tasted very bland and lacking for its price but the jjampong was not bad. However we were all up all night with diarrhea, stomach cramps and abdominal pain, but only for those who had the jjajjangmyeon. Would not recommend this place at all and not planning on visiting ever again.

Decent place to eat. Went with some friend who wanted to try it. I wasn’t blown away by the food. Our server was nice and help.We had:Fried Dumplings (Pretty good)General Tso (mmm a lil bland)Chicken Pineapple Fried Rice (good, but not flavorful) and 2 Korean dishes that were popular. One was pork with noodles and the other was seafood with noodles in a red sauce. In the table that we sat smelled old and had this old cat smell which was a turn off. I wouldn’t visit again but I do appreciate having good service.

The noodles are actually really good. It was cool to be able to get a split bowl between jajangmyeon and jjampong. Fast service and casual setting—good for families.

My friends and I (14 people in total) came here after a birthday party. We expected good, moderately cheap food. 10 of us ordered the jajangmyeon. It tasted pretty good, but not like its price. However, the next day, everybody who ate the jajangmyeon had bad cases of the runs. Suffice to say, this place gave us food poisoning. Never again.

This place is the best for giant bowls of spicy Korean noodles. My favorite is the Extra Seafood Spicy Noodle soup. Service is great and the dishes are delicious.

Food is good but horrible service. As soon as I was seated, they threw a menu at me, and without giving me a time to open it, a Chinese lady comes to me and says "What do you want?". I said give me a minute. Throughout my meal, i was rushed the whole time. The server came to my table and kept checking if I was done. It was literally after 10 mins I got my food. Seriously give me a break...

The food was very good, and I had plenty of leftovers. The place was quiet and the staff was very friendly. The batter on the chicken was good, but for me it was not quite the taste I was expecting. Maybe I am too used to American-style sweet & sour chicken. I would definitely go back again.

We just stopped in for a quick bite for the children. Our special request was for just a bowl of broth and a plate of noodles.

The place is clean, reasonable price, authentic food. Everything is great, definitely come back again if I visit new york again!

Wasn't all that impressed with the food and they really skimp on those flavorful side dishes that are generously offered at the other Korean restaurants in the area. Dining space is cramped with too many tables. Service was pleasant but not particularly speedy.

Hyo dong gak is the only option for Koreanized Chinese food in Manhattan. I have usually enjoyed the experience here, but this time was not what it used to be. We ordered jjam-bbong and spiced shrimp. For some reason, the food was not digested very well even though it did not lead to any bellyache. Jjam-bbong was a bit spicy and the shrimp seemed that it had too much fry powder. At last we’re urged to pay more tips by a female server (yes we did not provide enough tip and this was our fault). Overall, even though they gave us a perfect wrapping for leftover shrimps, it was not satisfied experience for us.
