Hydra Steakhouse & Lounge

One of the best restaurants I have ever been to. Fantastic waitstaff, cozy private dining and beautifully decorated. I had garlic prawns and my husband had peppercorn steak both couldn't have been better. I think our waitresses name was Sandy and she could not have done a better job.

Had steak salad meat was medium rare. Iy had a good taste but it was Tuff

The staff did not appear to enjoy their jobs, the amount of dust around the place is concerning for what the kitchen would look like. Based on the reviews, we had much higher expectations. The food was “OK.” The prime rib dip had a bitter and burnt aftertaste. Assuming the grill needs a thorough cleaning. So many great restaurants to choose from and will not be eating here again.

This was my first time at the Hydra, but assuredly will not be my last! I enjoyed a New York Strip with fresh green beans and steamed broccoli - YUM! There steak was flame-broiled to a PERFECT medium-rare, with a delightful char to the fat My wife had fresh line-caught salmon accompanied with green beans. Our guests has salmon and a fabulous looking burger on the best looking bun I've ever seen! The service was spot on, and the bill was presented nicely. Yes, it's a bit more expensive than the average Sandpoint dining place, but WORTH EVERY PENNY.

Service was good, except she forgot to order our appetizer. Food here is always good. Nice atmosphere.

This place is wonderful! Pictured is the special of the night when we went there. It was one of the most tender steaks I have ever had! Gentlemans Jack Daniels Enfused Prime Rib!

Went right before corona shut down... paid $50 for ice cold old crab legs... service was slow and our server seems not to really care to work much that evening... not up to par as far reviews would lead one to believe. Wanted to love it... doubt we will go back.

Delicious food with great portions! Everything was wonderful except for our service. It took a long time to get our order placed, drinks served and bread on the table - all while the table next to us,that came in after us - got all of that right away.

I had my first date with my husband here and it was perfect! The soup and salad bar was so great. Awesome menu, good prices and great service!

We cannot stress enough the importance of eating here, and in particular, the importance of ordering the jalspeno-bacon-cheese burger. Quite simply, it is on the Top 10 Burgers Ever list.Groovy Christmas music in December. Terrific salad bar. Numerous entrees to choose from. Top-notch fries. Very pleasant wait staff!

The only steakhouse in town, and it's a good one. Steaks for me have always come out near perfect, 135 degrees MR. Friendly staff and the number 1 waiter in town Jeremy will make everyone feel right at home here.

We truly relaxed, reflected 43 yrs of life together, ate light and gave thanks!
