Hwy 55 Burgers Shakes & Fries

The worst meal I have had, way to salty, more. Read than bacon, burger was ok at best. Server was nice but slammed, waited 20 minutes for the check. Others were complaining as well..I’ll never go back.

This is the second time visiting and I got to tell you both times were awesome. Food is delicious extremely generous portions and fairly priced. People have to remember this is a restaurant not a fast food joint SO waiting for your food and will be worth it. They were extremely busy and seemed short-staffed it took a while but their friendliness and food made up for the slow service. I recommend anybody try this you will not be displeased.

Our experience was great! Our waitress was very courteous, respectful, and fast. The food was awesome. There was 6 of us, and all of us enjoyed the entire experience.

First time eating here. The steak and cheese sub could use little more seasoning. Husband said his sweet tea had an after taste. My milk shake was good.

Very interesting decor. Good food and portions amazing. Had rootbeer float.

This place is wonderful! It's cheap and delicious! I saw an employee run out to ask the person if they wanted their straw! The staff is very friendly! Would recommend to anyone!

We always enjoy this place, food is great, service is awsome, portions are generous and the price is right.

Really enjoyed this restaurant. Shakes are good and I love the custard. Burger is really good, but mine was a good bit thinner than the burger I have had previously at another hwy 55, otherwise it would have been 5 stars :)

I ordered a BLT and fries. To say I was disappointed, is being nice. The bacon was overdone and the fries were undercooked. I nicely complained to the waitress and all I got was oh, sorry.

Only had shakes and Sundays at this visit but they were very good.

Philly cheesesteaks here are great, and the service is awesome :)

The only great thing I saw tonight was the waitress Ashley who was helpful and personable. The food was just OK. The worst thing was getting to witness a manager (?) barge out of the back to speak to a cook like he was a misbehaving child because a burger wasn't cooked right. Perhaps you should review your training procedures. If you want to have an open kitchen, you should be sure the staff is kind and respectful towards each other. Actually, you should do that whether or not your customers can see you. I've worked in food service for many years and despise the bully culture that is rampant in commercial kitchens. Then management wonders why turnover is so high. I hope that young man finds employment elsewhere where he is treated with decency and respect. I won't be returning to Highway 55 any time soon.

A nice little throwback food place to the old days, jukebox and milkshakes, leather jacket and slick hair. Only issue I find is the Prices of the Burgers by themselves. Sweet tea and Fries were good.*Update*, After opening the To-go Box and getting a good look at the burger, these guys didn't mess around with the meat on these Burger's, And I got the Double cheese Burger all the way Andy Size! It was juicy 😋 and seasoned very well. After having to, (but only a little bitl), struggle to eat that last bite after eating the Fries and Drink. I'm a very happy and Full customer 😁. So because of this, I'm changing it to 5 Stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟. Thank you, and keep up the great work!

Awesome staff. They got hit with a rush with only 2 cooks and 2 waitresses. Almost entire restaurant was full. They managed to stay calm under the pressure, food was amazing and the manager Robert was particularly great at interacting with customers before he had to cook. Great environment, better food! Will come again!

Cold fries. Burger was ok. Kids loved their meals but they forgot a spoon for our child's applesauce and no one checked on us. Eventually we got a spoon but they were inattentive and the food was just so so. Even getting the check was kind of a hassle. It was virtually empty so it seems like they just didn't care, not that they were busy
